well my setup is complete swapped out my old trusty ome with a new set of Toytec boss coilovers w/ 600# springs. paired with them with some whiteline lca bushings. A friend at Toytec runs them on his fj, loves them. what the hell.... i was a guinea pig, whiteline doesnt list bushings for a taco but i did a little research and found the 3rd gen t4r uses the exact same arms and bushings. so i ordered a set for a t4r and installed today. i forgot to take pics, mostly because i was filthy and full of grease to grab a phone.
i adjusted the co's up a bit, i am now 3/4" higher than i was with my ome. alignment came out sweet. camber -.1 and caster 2.5.
first impressions: alot after, plusher ride than my ome. steering and suspension feels tight and responsive. the co's being softer also leads to the truck leaning more in the turns... it leaned alot with the ome, holy cow its bad now. i may go up another half inch or so in a few weeks, but im still undecided how important down travel to up travel ratio is... opinions for a truck that sees mostly slow in the rocks with some moderate speed trail running every once in a while?

like all projects, the damn truck doesnt go down without a fight.... fixed my locker at the same time, all was good there. while on the alignment rack my damn ebrake cable broke..... thats pissed me off... half hour later and 50 bucks i have a new one installed:)

What did you fix on your rear brakes while we all waited in the McDonald's parking lot? Brake cable?

CO adjustment is personal preference. Maybe take my truck for a spin. I am almost maxed on adjustment so you can see how the corners feel with a 600lb spring. I don't have concerns.

Your ebrake is sending you a message, to switch to disc.... But I already know the answer to that. :anonymous:

I'm partial to keeping things low. more down than up travel IMO for mainly rock crawling. let your tires tuck easier and let it hang.

It's funny really that we are discussing travel that have a variable of 3". :p

And Jace I would put my seat belt on first. The last thing I want to do is end up in your lap. :D

for crawling stuff more down travel would suit you better.

Keep it 50/50. Put that UCA bolt dead nuts in the middle of the uniball and you'll be perfect all around. Gotta keep in mind you're still IFS, which means droop is not the same thing as it is on a solid axle.
