I play the lottery for fun because I like talking with my wife about what we would do first if we won the jackpot; for $1 or $2 dollars I have a lot of fun thinking of what if!
What would be the first thing you would buy if you hit the lottery jackpot?

I would most defiantly buy a large tract of land so I could recreate and relax a little!

The steak dinner could come out of regular funds. At dinner we talk about the windfall and make plans to talk to a financial planner about.

Honestly I would just go about my regular day and get to sleep early so I can be ready for work the next day.

I'd talk to a financial planner about how I should best go about paying off my current house and truck, then buying a large plot of land in Northern Maine, a villa in the Caribbean, and a large sailboat to travel between them with. The rest would get invested. And other than the government when they got my taxes the following year, nobody would know that I'd won.

A guy wins 1 million dollars in the lottery and when asked what was he going to do with the money he answered:
    Pay off debt
and what are you doing with the rest? was the second question
They can wait until I win the lottery again, he said.

I agree a lot of the fun in playing the lotto is dreaming about what you'd spend it on.

After buying a house and a bunch of land (to build a racetrack and cut some offroad trails). I'd fully build out my Taco as a dedicated off road rig, and get a big ass hauler to transport her. Probably one of those Chevy Kodiaks :) with a big trailer/camper. Buy some sports cars, guns (maybe even build one of those Top Shot style courses). I'd also like to start a motorcycle race team and a motorcycle summer camp for kids and adults. Oh yeah, and take care of my family and friends, and start a charitable foundation.

Then I'd probably just invest the rest in Treasury bonds and live off the interest after that.

Good luck to everyone in the next drawing!!! Also the jackpot is almost enough $$$ to buy everyone on TacomaWorld King suspension ;)

One of the things I dream of would be to buy some dealerships as investments: Toyota, Ford, Harley-Davidson, maybe Honda power-sports
Plus the Perks would be nice too, dealer plates for new cars/trucks... TRD-OR's, GT & SVT's
    Added to the poll!

I'd probably put some gas in my truck.
Might even grab some of that high dollar Jack Links jerky while I'm there!
