Loud Noise while running A/C, Please help

    There is a loud rumbling noise under the glove compartment. It stops when I turn off the A/C. Suddenly my A/C does not blow anymore air. Whats going on?! I need my A/C its burning hot here Thanks

    Blower wheel is most likely cracked, it is a known problem and I believe parts are on backorder

    Open glove compartment, remove everything including dildo (there’s a story to this), open cabin air filter compartment and check blower fan. Most likely broken.

Overland Tailor Tune (OTT) 7.0. Extra juicy oil spill on the bed mat.
    You can use a little hose clamp temporarily (or permanently) to hold the fan hub together until the warranty work is done. Just make sure to slowly increase the fan speed. The torque of the electric motor when starting on high is too powerful on the hub of the fan before the plastic can combat the inertia of the outer rim and blades, especially when left on high before starting vehicle. Most newer manufacturers added a speed lag regulator when starting any A/C blower motor. There are many other ways to rectify the issue, such as better materials, metal hub, more flexible plastic, etc.

    Just did this 2 days ago.... Three screws to pull it / drop it from under the glove box and some high strength epoxy to hold it until the replacement gets here. I'm talking glued to the shaft! :thumbsup: I'll probably just ride the epoxy and keep the new as a spare if it gives up again.... It's holding great with many torture test cycles.

    With the three screws out and blower dropped, unplug it and the plastic outer shroud with the wires attached stays with the truck and the motor and fan come out easy for gluing it up. If you do this just have the fan facing down while drying so any epoxy drippings don't go into the motor.

    They dont just sell the plastic wheel? I called toyota and they said they only sell with motor attach

    I had this issue and it turns out there was just a leaf in my cabin filter. It was a ten second fix. Good luck

    That's right and there's a national back order because of their cheap ass bullshit. Do the epoxy. Trust me. It works. :thumbsup:
