You didn't have problems with it losing connections every time it moves on the pad?

Even when it slides around? My s6 active loses connections on the slightest move. Not sure if its phone or pad.

My Note 5 doesn't slide around. I have used it with both no case and also a slim design Spigen case. My wife has an S6 edge and without a case on that it would slide around a bit and lose the sweet spot; once she got a case on the phone the sliding issue was resolved.

I think both forms of charging have their merits. In the truck it is very convenient to lay the phone in the QI area. I like the wireless charging so much I installed a pad in the MX 5, Got rid of my Note 5 that was not charging (after doing a Google search to ensure mine was not a one off) and bought the smaller S6.

I never had an issue with putting the cable in the phone the right way. ONce one knows which way it goes there is no fumbling. Actually since getting the smaller device , I like it much more after years of the Notes.

Created an account just to let you know I have literally the exact same issue. Like you've been spying on my frustration.

Looks like I'll be swapping my note5 for the sgs7! Thanks for your post and making me feel less insane!!

I've got an iPhone 6s with a case on it for qi. It does get warm, but I wouldn't say it gets really hot.

Good info. I have galaxy S5, so either buy new cover or get new phone.

stick on one. not sure how it works but it does. and it was like 6 bucks shipped. only issue is how hot it gets when at full since it turns on and off constantly as the batt drops to 99% charge

Qi works okay on the Edge S7 - but it goes get red hot. You have to hold it in front of an a/c vent to get the phone to boot back up.

That is my issue...everything I've charged with it gets hot as hell. Since that ruins battery longevity it makes more sense not to charge anything. Too bad since it would be a very cool feature if it worked.

Agree with the folks about the S7 getting hot. I find if I'm using navigation or Spotify the Qi will charge real slow, pretty much maintains the charge

I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4 and my S6 Edge gets hot while sitting on the charger which usually results in the phone not allowing the battery to charge, due to excessive heat. I rarely if ever use it because of what I just described. Consider me disappointed. I was just curious if others had similar issues and if there is a fix for it?

I experience this with my S8. I use Qi for short drives and it works fine but for longer trips I have a 12v charger.
