Not sure if you are joking or not, but the sig other has a 2015 rav4 and I love that thing. Good gas mileage, awd, reasonable clearance, and shit tons of space.

OP, glad you traded for something you love....I did the same. I too had a ton of issues, but loved the truck, love my runner better though. Some of us got the rush-out-the-door Friday trucks, but most seem to be happy. I’m glad for those who got good trucks without problems. Enjoy your new ride!

That’s a damn good looking Tundra. At least you kept it in the family.

Can't speak on the Tacoma, but I currently drive a 2016 Renegade with 4x4, 1.4L Turbo, and a 6 speed manual. The owner reviews are generally not good, even worse than I've read on here. The 9 speed auto is the most common complaint, then a lack of power, and finally small complaints.

After 14 months, I actually still enjoy it a lot, but want a truck. Going with a manual over an automatic really can change the dynamics and reliability of a vehicle. I definitely feel good about going with a 3rd gen, but wouldn't have the same confidence if I couldn't get a manual transmission.

This exactly. I really considered a tundra when I bought mine a couple years ago but at 13 combined it didn’t seem worth it. Bought the tacoma and realized I didn’t even need a full size

Yeah I love the Tundra, but its mileage is an abomination.

Kind Of unreal honestly. I mean I get it. Gas mileage isn’t a huge consideration when you need a full size truck but it’s 2017 and pretty much every full size on the market is getting 20+

But of course one can argue that statement with reliability. Either way, love the tundra and love my tacoma

That's just it, in 2017 MPG very much is a huge consideration for full size trucks. Like you said, they almost all get good mileage now. The Tundra's is about what I'd expect from a semi-truck. lol

I don't expect a full-size to be a prius, but I don't get how Toyota ever allowed the Tundra to get the mileage it gets.

I’m afraid they’ll ruin it by making it more efficient though lol

I think part of it is it's just too damn big.

Either way, they have to do something with it to bring the mileage out of the 1960's.

Might have something to do with the lift and bigger tires.
