Hi, Yesterday both my low beams were out and my battery light was on. I had my battery and charging system checked and they were fine. I cleaned all the connections on the battery, fuse box, alternator and grounds. I then replaced the bulbs with the expensive high light bulbs (which is what was in there last) and my lights worked but the battery light was still on. I drove around for an hour today and my battery light went out but I lost both my low beams again. I checked the voltage at both plugs and both grounds and they are good. So my question is what happened to the low beams on both bulbs and what should I do next?

Just a thought, perchance when the low beams are on there may be to high of resistance and this can screw with electrical atuff, not sure if this could cause the battery light to come on, try checking battery voltage when low breams are on and seeing what its at compaired to running lights off.

IS your alternator ok? It might not be putting out the voltage it should if it's slowly dying.

Your light also comes on in a over voltage condition !!

If the voltage is to high it will burn out your bulbs which seems the case.

Did they tell you what voltage your alternator was putting out ??
