Welp here’s mine. Decide to go with 1/4” aluminum. Happy with it, gonna paint it black. just save 50$ instead of buying the aluminum mount that one guy is selling win/win

Looks good! Can’t tell from the pics, did you just grind off the machine screw nubs? Did you thread lock those in, or what?

Lol, I can see you ditched the ugly stock grille!

Two years ago I removed the “not a step” bracket and redrilled the plate to fit the holes in the bumper. Last month I noticed my plate was missing, and there were just two ragged holes in the bumper. I’m thinking someone stole it ... and I got a new plat and attached it with toggle bolts. Remind me ... what’s the stock mounting feature in the plastic bumper? Threaded inserts, thread forming screws, ?? Also, size, if anyone has that handy. Frankly I’ve forgotten what was there, and there’s no visible evidence of the previous mounting details.

The plastic mount was held on by threaded screws just put through the bumper. I don't remember the size off the top of my head sorry.

So screws just threaded into molded bosses in the bumper plastic? No inserts? In that case, it doesn’t last long (2-1/2 years 45K miles) or someone just yanked it off. I’ll put nuts and fender washers in there ... it’s just reachable. Thanks.

Yep. Just screws in the bumper plastic. They were coarse threaded, so I would be someone stole it.
