My lower ball joints are leaking and I want to check if the part numbers 4334039436 (L) and 4333039556 (R) were the correct numbers for a 2001 Tacoma 3.4 4x4 manual. The dealer gave me these numbers but with a “5” at the end. Not sure if there is a difference with 4x4 and 2x4, but I appreciate the help.

    Best,
    Jacob

Check with your vin on this website http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html it will give you parts specific to your truck. I guess those could be an alternate p/n but I’d verify before buying.

Seems that the numbers are correct as with “5” at the end. Maybe the “6” was after the recall... says the “6” is to replace the one with the “5” on ToyotaofDallas. Guess I’ll buy that one and Thanks for your help

Neither Camelback nor Dallas will process my order currently (maybe because they aren’t open on weekends), but from my vin and the new part numbers for those parts... this is what the numbers are...

    Lower ball joints: (x1 ea)
    (L): 4334039435 (old #) —> 4334039436(new #)

    (R): 4333039555 (old #) —> 433039556(new #)

    Bolts for Lower ball joint: (x8) 9010510406(old #) —> 9008010066(new #)

Also the 4wd and prerunner have the same part number so it may not matter but use the like above to use your own link. Haven’t installed and will update after I do.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

OME, SPC UCA, ARB w/warn 10K winch, TG Rock Defense Rear, Marlin Clutch, Custom hi clearance under bed spare mount. 285/75/16. A ton of repairs done and a list up to come modifications.
My 99 Toyota ball joints came with bolts, rubber cap and everything complete. I think in years after they sold them separate.

Just submit your VIN if you order from Toyota Dallas. They will check the numbers for you. I deal with them all the time...

I got the lower ball joints from them. Lowest prices I could find. Gonna get the tie rods at my dealership so they get to me a little sooner

This is what I put on my truck. I think, if I recall correctly, these are the older part numbers and they come with additional bolts or something.

    Part No.: 43340-39585
    Part No.: 43330-39815
