    Bump.

My passenger side lca bushings finished disintegrating today on the "3D" trail.

Actually half disintegrated, as there are like 4 rubber bushings in there and two are gone.

First the alignment tabs, now this. :(

Anyhow, bump so I can find this thread again when I get back and can replace the bushings.

    Sorry I missed this question!

I was replacing the LCAs so I didn't have to worry about what you're wrestling with. Wish I could offer up some help but I took the easy route on this one.

I got a kit from Energy Suspension, that came with uppers and lowers. Urethane bushings all around. You'll need to torch the old ones out.

So where can you get replacement LCA bushings?

Or what are the Toyota part numbers?

i just took a video of my rear lca bushing on the driver side because i have a bad rattle on that side when i hit a bump. is the lca supost to move at all on the bolt because my lca would pull all the way to the front of the bolt then to the back and when i would hit a bump and the rattle would occur the whole lca would shift to the center of the truck then to the outside, im assuming this is my problem and its the source of my rattle. but i dont have flattened cam alignment tabs so its like the whole lca is shifting while the bolt stays in place. so my question is do i need new bushings or cam bolts or both ???

Guys, doing a lot of reading on taking out the control arms to reinstall the bushings, i'm just about to venture on new ball joints, new lift kit and i don't want to pay anyone to do the bushings.....my questions is once the bushings are out and the control arm goes back in, how do I install the new camber bolts to ensure that the alignment is somewhat close. ie if i was just loosening i could mark the cam and arm, its not anything i've done before so do i just align a mark on the new cam to the original mark on the arm??
    thanks !

I was going to replace bushings but I ended up biting the bullet and just buying new LCA's. I found a great deal here.
    110$ Right http://www.discountautoparts.com/catalog-1/itemdetail/moog/rk621293
    110$ Left http://www.discountautoparts.com/catalog-1/itemdetail/moog/rk621294

New ball joints on it as well. Seemed like a no brainer to me. after doing a bunch of reading on how much headaches people have gone through trying to replace bushings, I sprulged a little...

    My .02, others will disagree

but to answer your question yes, use a paint marker, mark on the LCA and the cam itself where it is, if you are installing new cams put the same mark on the new one. simple as that, you will still need an alignment if you are putting a lift in as well however, but it wont be completely out of wack, just a little.

    How are you liking them?

I am now in the market and am weighing my options on aftermarket vs OE vs buying bushings and doing it myself.

Any input will be helpful, thanks.

Im happy, one of my cam bolts was rusted shut to the inside of the bushing. So I ended up having to cut the UCA bushing with a grinder and sawzall to get it out.

I did do it myself which is why I went the route of buying the new UCAs with everything already installed, I also was putting an OME lift in at the same time. If you aren't afraid to turn wrenches its a simple job. Just take pictures, remember which way the bolts go in. I'd be happy to write you up some instructions if you want. PM me if you want some more details.

Thx for this link. I bought a set from them yesterday....dealer quoted $370 for one side, part only!! I also bought the moog castor/camber kit with greaseable bolts/sleeve to prevent the rust seizing the bushing. Now to get the old ones out................

No access to a torch....will use a sawzall to cut the bolts.

Buy quite a few blades, and don't skimp. Really cant stress that enough. I'd suggest you use a grinder with a cutting wheel before the sawzall to cut the bolts. I was blown away how strong that steal is. I almost had to cut my LCA into pieces to get access to the proper cutting angle.
