Please provide your thoughts and feedback and thanks in advance.

I can buy a 2000 TRD 2WD 3.4L V6, A/T from the original owner with 47k miles. It's in immaculate condition and he wants $14k. It has TRD headers, TRD supercharger, TRD brake pads and rotors, and the TRD trans oil cooler. It has the locking rear diff. I won't be crawling or rock climbing but this truck should be okay for me to join my buddies on some light off road adventures with their LR3/4s. Beside that and errands around the city, it won't be my daily driver.

Owner is 84 years old and has barely driven it and always kept it in the garage.

What do you think about the price and is there anything I should look out for or inspect?

Seems kinda high priced for a 16 year old truck, what's the Kelly Blue Book Value?

Hey Pintsize, KBB is under 10k but what I've found is their values aren't accurate when you are dealing with rare cars. KBB can only take what's out there for sale as comparables to calculate its values. It won't account for all of the upgrades either.

I felt like it was a bit high too but when I look at what's out there for sale, it doesn't seem that bad.

With no credit, I walked out the door of the dealership I worked at with my 2004 Tacoma auto 3.4 TRDOR access cab with a camper top (stock besides that) with 40800 miles for $16250 and don't have any regrets. If the truck checks out I see no reason not to haggle a bit then jump on it

A little high but if everything looks mint with a supercharger it's hard to pass up. If it was 4x4 it would be too good to be True! Is it a DCSB or extended cab?

Seems about right. It's got 47k miles, s/c, headers, and a tranny cooler. I'd buy it.

Considering that a Toyota Supercharger kit for your year/model runs at least $3K+labor and tax... That's awesome! I work for a Toyota dealership and the only thing I would recommend before purchasing ANY vehicle is getting a 'Used Vehicle Buyers Inspection' done first. Also, while there, ask for an appraisal (it's free!). UVBI runs $150 where I work... But TOTALLY worth it if looking to buy. It covers EVERYTHING!!! They even 'road test' it for you! Try to get the seller to pay, or deduct from, sale price if you do purchase!

Make sure you, or a Toyota dealership, get a complete 'Used Vehicle Buyers Inspection' first!!! Don't want to be stuck with repair costs or worse, a lemon!

Not sure where you're located, but here in the PNW, that is a killer price.

Let me know your thoughts. I wish it was 4WD, really gotta decide if I want to fully commit to this truck for the long run and invest in the conversion. Or is it better to sell and buy a newer truck with 4 wheel drive?

Nice! A 4x4 conversion can be done for about $1k depending where you source the parts, it's all bolt on.

Now you just need to do a 01-04 front end conversion.

    And I don't think you have a 2.2" pulley - they're red. Perhaps stock.

Said no one ever. The 98-00 front ends are hideous.
