Ah yea, it might not be necessary, but I already replaced the OEM w a CVJ rack on my current mid travel because the bushings gave out. Now w the 3.5 install and Im pulling the front diff to go w 4:56s, so I figured having the room in there would be a good time to do the swap over to the 200, and hopefully start out w a solid system all the way around.

Just the bushings failed you mean? Don't they have a poly bushing replacement like they do with several other parts?

Everything I found about replacing bushings, it was easier to just replace the rack.
The 200 swap might be more than I need. But here in Florida I have to hit a lot of dirt bike trails which have close together choppy whoops at 3+ feet tall, so its tough on the rack.

Yeah i had to do mine years ago to get my truck aligned, they are a pita to do as well. Advantage to the tundra rack is you can still run tie rod boots. can't with the slide rack and some guys are running into issues with blowing out rack seals when used around heavy mud and whatnot.

I see, yeah not a lot of mud here in the southwest. First gens pretty much all needing a poly bushing swap and some guys use them right off the bat even with a new oem rack since the oe rubber bushings allow too much side to side play as they’re designed for a smaller tire primarily.

I know the LC rack is advertised as not having as much bump steer or whatnot, but the trucks on here running the tundra rack including Travis (Basikbiker), the AMR race truck, and the old double cab linked Solo truck don’t show excessive bump steer in big whoops where it becomes apparent if a truck has significant bump steer.

Travis (@Basikbiker) sells the tundra racks ready to install in your tacoma. Best bang for your buck IMO. Like @Dalandser said, plenty of guys are already running these and taking a beating with no problems.

Yeah and Travis himself has beat the absolute crap out of his own.

Makes sense. I don’t have the JD slider but was looking at it. Although not a ton of mud the lack of boots was a Debate for me. I take my truck in all terrains and more of a just in case. Haven’t blown the rack yet either so far only rear ended and plans to change that up. For the front I was considering the Howe kit more so than the rack at the moment for improved steering. I almost bought one of @Basikbiker ’s racks last month but he just sold that last one he currently had. I’m not in a rush but gauging which one would be better and had seen the 200 come up a lot lately. Thanks for the input so far.

Any fox 2.5 or 3.0x14 in bypass shocks for sale? I have a set of 2.5x12 triple bypasses that I’d trade or sell once I found a set.
