P will work just fine. The trucks towing capacity is based on P rated.

LT = stiffer ride since they are for hauling

P= softer ride for passenger cars

These trucks don't need LT rated tires in most cases. Some folks just think it's more masculine to say they have them.

I have lt and haven’t noticed a harsher ride then non lt. They are actually a little beefier tire as well.

Best looking tire for the money by far! When my nittos wear out a set of those will be on the truck pretty fast!

Go p for the weight savings and ride quality.P ply tires on these trucks will haul more than enough weight.

I'm debating the same now. Do the Wildpeaks come in a C rating, or only E?

Agreed....the tire shop that I've been using for the past 35 years told me the same thing. He could've upsold me on LT's if he wanted to when I asked the difference between the two types, but he appreciates my business and doesn't BS me. He said stick with the P rated tires. Nice to have a shop I can trust.

Different tire but I've taken my P-rated Cooper AT3's offroading and they work just fine. Granted it's mild stuff, not rock climbing or anything but for your usage I would think P-rated would be be fine. Truck is my daily driver, LT would be overkill for me
