my dumbass lost one of my weights and so i took it it for an alignment, cuz i took off my spacer lift, and wheel balance. alignment was good, took the truck back TWICE, and no luck with them getting it right. every time its different, usually around 71-76mph, and its either the back, or front, and the intensity is varied, every time i took it in. IF you notice the factory has weights on the inside AND outside, most shops THINK its sufficient to do just the outside, im taking it back tommorrow for a refund and a trip to the stealership. they of all people should be able to do it right. btw big-o didnt charge me everytime i took it in, i showed them the reciept and they didnt even write it up. all this within two weeks, im getting irritated.

Ok I'm gunna try to answer all ur ?s they do have wheel locks. Had the stcky weights on the inside of wheel. Vibrates thru steering wheel like back and forth really quick at around 45-75mph. It didn't do this before I installed the wheels yesturday. I'm running no hub covers btw.

    I would do the following:

    1) Move rear wheels to the front to check if problem persist and try to isolate which wheel/tire is the one with issue

    2) Get them balance using weights on both sides of the wheel as mentioned above, that is if your stick on weights are only on one side of the inside of the wheel.

    3) Remove the lock nuts and replace it with a lug nut same as the others. Check if problem persist.

Trust me on this one. Get your wheels road force balanced with the appropriate adapter. By adapter i mean they bolt your wheel to the balancer instead of using the center hole and cone shaped thing to center the wheel. This costs about 60 bucks but it is so worth it.

Mine are lug centric as well, But Les Schwab had no problems balancing or fitting them. Maybe the shop you went to just sucks!:D

You can goto a shop that will balance the wheel while its on the truck , this is the best , it gets balanced up to 200 miles an hour , well for the sports cars anyways ,... in Seattle Tru -Line shop all high end cars and trucks .... sorry in Seattle but its a different way of balancing ................. not that common ........ Good luck !!!!!!!!

I'm not sure of any chain in particular. It was a local shop that did mine. Just use the yellow pages and call around. Ask if they can road force balance and see if they have an adapter for our lug pattern. I believe it is 6 on 5.5. I don't know if this applies to your wheels but i also got different lug nuts that have a shank which helps center the wheel on the stud. Any good tire wheel shop should be able to help you with this. If it rode good before there is no reason it was anything but tires and wheels.

they lugs with that goes in like a cone shape in the holes to actually center them to the lug bolts. they are very nice people, just wish it was done right the first time. im just happy it is fixed now.
