Luxo Taco For Sale

It kills me to do this guys but 2 years ago when I set out to do the full build on this thing i was in a different situation, unfortunately now I don't have time or a need for it and want to offer it up for someone else to enjoy...I by no means need to sell this right away and have no problem sitting on it for awhile but for practical reasons it needs to go up for sale.


Selling my fully built Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner. All work done by Dezert Toy Fabrication In Santa Maria, CA. Truck was just finished Mid April. Aside from the motor, steering rack, and transmission all components have been replaced or rebuilt. (water pump, pulleys, belts, spark plugs, thermostat, wheel bearings, brakes, ujoints etc) Truck was built with plans to race class 7100/2000 and can still be driven on the road. All fab work has been 360 MIG welded, primed and painted.


Full 2” DOM radius bent cab cage tied into both the cab, engine cage, bed cage and frame, seats 4. Black carpet interior and headliner, 2 Layers of 100% coverage Dynamatt, closed cell foam and jute padding in cab and doors for superior sound deadening. Lowrance GPS, Rugged Radio 4 Person 660 intercom with headsets, Kenwood race radio, PA system, 5 channel Lightning audio amp, Memphis audio speakers, Kenwood deck, Audio Mobile 10” subwoofer, custom box, KC red interior dome lights. NRG steering wheel with quick disconnect. Seats are black vinyl Corbeaus with red 5pt 3” Crow harnesses and sewn on pads.


Complete engine cage made out of 2” and 1.75” DOM with removable headlight/grille portion For easy access to front of the motor/radiator. Shock tower gussets and lower control arm solid mounts/gussets. Solid motor and trans mounts. Electric Trans cooler, 2.25” aluminum Griffin radiator with electric fans, Mean Green H/O alternator, UMP intake system with an inlet made to drain water and feed thru hood louvers, URD performance thermostat, aluminum manifold spacer as well as aluminum overflow tanks for rack and radiator. Bolt on front bumper for easy replacement and access to the front of the motor/rack, full skids al the way past oil pan with drain hole and replaceable nerf bar. JBA long tube headers with O2 sensor harness + extender, Doug Thorley Y-Pipe, Aerochamber muffler.


Bed cage built off stock frame which has been boxed, and then tied into the cab cage in several locations. 32 gallon Jazz fuel cell wired and ran with 100% OEM Toyota components to pass emissions and keep function of fuel gauge, 320lph high output fuel pump. Hydraulic latch trunk on heims with dual full size spares. Functioning electrical outlet in gas door, removable crush bar, and dual yellow top optimas. Rear axle is a 10.5” 2nd gen. Toyota Tundra axle, custom driveline made with slip yoke, bigger carrier bearing, and yoke flange.


Front long travel is a one off DTF 6” over race kit bumped and strapped at a smooth 18”. Includes heimmed steering and UCAs, double sheered tie rod mounts, vertical 2” uniballs. Recessed shock mounts to allow a 10” dual rate coilover to fit in stock shock bucket. Rear suspension is the DTF Spring under axle kit, set up with a rear boomerang shackle on Deaver H70 leaff springs, bumped and strapped at a clean 18” without leaff separation. Both front and back LT per corner are running dual limit straps and stainless brake lines.


Lights and electronics include. The retrofit source D2S retrofit headlight with blacked out housing, LED taillights, Tough Light 20” Ultra 4D LED bars and pods in the valence. Hella HIDs on roof rack, KC dome lights in the cab. Complete sounds system, Rugged radio intercom and race radio. Lowrance GPS, PA system, electric cooling fans. And more! ALL wiring on truck has been solderd and heat shrunk at connections, and then loomed and electrical taped every 12” to keep wiring neat. All wiring has been ran to an SPOD for easy and clean installation. Dual Optima yellow top batteries located in the trunk and a battery selector switch in reach of the driver.



All parts are new or practically new with very low miles and in perfect working condition. Fiberglass is Fiberwerx at the nose a 1 piece front clip with louvers and at the tail the bedsides are the 6” trophy truck style. Tires are 37” BF Goodrich’s. Wheels are 17” KMC Enduro Beadlocks. All shocks are newly rebuilt Sway-A-Way with the exception of Fox Bumpstops. Vinyl wrap is 3M satin dark grey. Window tint on all 6 windows. Fiberglass is held on with Dsues fasteners and aerocatch latches for a strong, clean, and easy removal. Long travel has been powder coated matte black. ARP extended wheel studs.


Truck is in great shape, runs flawlessly and in need of a new owner with time to use it.
