I was just diagnosed with lyme about two weeks ago and spent 5 days in the hospital while they watched my heart functions as the lyme was making its way into my heart. I am now on an 18 day round of IV antib with more to follow if necessary.

I thought this thread would be a good place to share stories and help others learn about this nasty and crazy disease.

With a open mind, disregard all the media scaremongering, read why ivermectin is one of three Nobel prize winning HUMAN, drugs. Then read on your own the results of ivermectin and Lyme disease research.

I am not in any way shape or form a dr.

If it peaks your interest, pm me, and I will share my email with you. If it doesn't no hard feelings at all. If the idea causes a visceral reaction in someone's mind, consider the possibility that the whole power of the media in the US was turned against one of three Nobel Prize winning drugs and now evokes a sneer and the comment horse wormer when mentioned.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
Will do. I hope others can learn from what I went through.
I had a small rash on my forearm, no tick there. The rash wasn't even a bullseye so my doc and I both wrote it off as being a spider bite. Then the shit hit the fan....dizziness, fainting, low heart rate, bp numbers all over the place. I finally called and asked to have a lyme test added to an already schedule blood panel. The test came back positive.

Yes, in my researching I have read about this. Positive things. I am very interested in what you know. I will PM you. Thanks.

Didya get a midline or picc line? And are you still in the hospital or getting the antibiotics outpatient?

I have had it for a while. Never found a tick, but after 3 days of progressively more severe aches in my legs and hips, I went to the Dr. The pain was bad enough it kept me from sleeping. The titre came back negative, but the Dr said these tests suck, you have Lymes. 2 weeks of steroids and I only occasionally have aches when low pressure moves in. Funny thing, I thought I was having some Lymes symptoms while driving from 65 degree NC to 35 and storming PA last year. Full body aches but my neck was the worst. Turned out to be COVID. I hope you have as successful a recovery as I did.

Wow. Crazy stuff. In what I have read so far the lyme is great at pretending to be other things.
While in the hospital I heard a story of a guy that came in for alcohol withdrawal, long story short....turned out to be lyme.

Wow. Last I read, there was some potential correlation between Lymes and brain fog as well. Sounds like we really don't know much about it.

I hit it about 5 years ago. I had a bullseye bite on my arm but never any tick. I new something was going on because I started stuttering and shit. I went to a neurologist they did blood work showing I had lymes. Did two cycles of antibiotics went for speech therapy. But i also took Juice Plus. Shit was expensive but worth it. After the two cycles of antibiotics and 4 months of juice plus. Ive been ok. No more stuttering that God.

    Yes, they do.
Everything that I thought I knew about how ticks behave has totally been turned upside down.
