well it looks like my progress is going to be halted for a bit longer then expected....... my dads truck had the oil cooler fail on it so it needs replaced he took it out to his friends house (who is gonna help me cut and weld the tongue off the trailer) well he was working on my dads truck and decided to test and see how it was running and closed the hood and didnt latch it all the way and the hood snapped back and hit the cab of the truck thankfully no damage to the cab or windshield but the hood is destroyed and the mounts for the springs are destroyed so it might be awhile before he is willing to help me with my trailer...

no picture yet but progress has started again on the trailer i have dropped it off a friends house to get the tongue cut off and have a new one put on the trailer!

he is also willing to let me practice welding on scrap metal to get better at welding which is what i wanted to do while working on this trailer!

so hopefully here in a few days we will have a good looking trailer that isnt sagging because of the bent tongue

this is not my trailer (or the right model its a m416) and im not sure whose it is but i love it and that old 3rd gen pickup as well!!

but besides that this is kinda end goals to have a slide for the grill a tailgate out the back a hard top that can hinge out of the way for ease of loading everything in and out at the begging and end of a trip the tent is just going to be bolted to the hard top hopefully before winter is over i can get this all done!

a bit of progress and something interesting! these old m100s and i believe the m416 had the ability to have the tongue unbolt off the trailer for ease of transportation so they could stack these trailers on top of each other and take less room!

in the process of having the new tongue welded up on the trailer so i can have the lock n roll hitch setup! then its off to get a hard top made!

a bit more progress we have been testing how we want the design and how long we want the tongue for the front so far this is the one we will be going with so nothing lines up perfectly yet but it will eventually!

im extremely excited tbh because this means we are getting closer and closer

and for more of an update the trailer will be coming back home on saturday hopefully! so to prepare for that i need to get everything for the rack ordered these are the items i will be going with for my setup

    https://www.wheeleveryweekend.com/products/rtt-security-clamps?variant=28006604767316

    https://www.amazon.com/Thule-712200...367554&sprefix=thule+squa,aps,152&sr=8-2&th=1

    https://compactcampingstore.com/products/no-weld-trailer-rack-towers

the total for everything for the rack setup is 382 now this could be cheaper but i like the idea of locking my tent down where it cant be stolen without a bit of effort.

The trailer is home! And man does it look stout! Also those bolts on the bottom that is where the tongue unbolts from the body

This is a pretty good site for original stuff(it may be repop stuff). I use to spend a lot of time on it when I had a M416
