I hope I don't have to pay MSRP for it, when I got my Macbook in December. That would suck.

    Don't get too excited..
This build is pretty nice (Build 10A432), still no 64 bit kernel by default. Quicktime has been re-tooled and is very nice. Jumping around in files is VERY fast.
To enable full 64-bit support, you can try it one of three ways:

    * - Holding down '6' and '4' while your Mac boots.
    * - Setting 'arch=x86_64' in the boot-args variable in NVRAM (type man nvram in Terminal for more info on doing that).
    * - Edit the file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and add arch=x86_64 to the kernel flags.

The following model identifiers support a 64-bit kernel (you can check yours in System Profiler). Essentially, it's every model from 2008 onwards, except for the Mac mini, MacBook, 13 inch MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air.

    MacPro3,1
    Xserve2,1
    MacBookPro4,1
    iMac8,1
    MacBookPro5,1
    MacBookPro5,2
    MacPro4,1
    iMac9,1
    Xserve3,1

Edit: Note that running the 32-bit kernel does NOT stop you from running 64-bit capable apps, and if you pay a visit to Activity Monitor, you'll see that almost everything still runs at 64-bit, even if the kernel doesn't.

It's sad that Snow Leopard available only for Intel-only.For those who still cruising along with PowerPC is done. The end of the road.

Just ordered mine today. $31.45 shipped. Will be at my doorstep on Friday. And whoever posted having to purchase your Mac after a certain date was incorrect. Any current Leopard user with an Intel processor is eligible for that price. I bought my MBP 03/2008.
