The rev limiters on these trucks is so dang annoying, has almost gotten me in trouble a couple times in sketchy situations. Like oh I need to floor it, then boom nevermind I have no gas pedal anymore

yeah, it's not a normal limiter, it works off of fuel cut and has its own logic on when it'll return control after you hit it. frustrating

For the ones who did the install in the garage, any of you did the vacum leak test recomended in the manual? If so, what system did you use?

I did not do the vacuum test. Topped off the radiator and left the cap off. Stared the truck and let it idle with the heat on full blast. Had to add a little more as it was running and warmed up. Turned off the truck topped off coolant again, put radiator cap back on. After test drive and once truck was cooled down topped of the coolant reservoir.

Nope, treated it like your average coolant system. No problems except the cap leak but they warranty replaced that.

    Don't be stupid like me:

I contacted my insurance company to increase the value of my truck on my insurance policy. They asked for photos and receipts for the modifications. Once they saw I had installed a supercharger they refused to renew my policy once it expires. Technically they just refused to insure the truck, they are fine with taking my money for all the other insurance policies (Houses, Life, Auto [second vehicle]). Needless to say I will probably move everything to another company.

That sucks! Good to know though.

If I ever decide to do that, I'll send them an old picture of my engine bay. :D

Did anyone install larger injectors yet? I don't have a Tacoma with the 2GR-FKS, but for the 2GR-FE engine we have larger injectors than the stock 370cc injectors.
They are from a Mercedes C63 AMG 440cc, and they fit.

Very interesting. He has the Lexus LS500 injectors, from what I read on his thread. Was this on the stock ECU?

Fyi, the 2GR-FE and 2GR-FKS share ignition coils. I'm not sure what the size/cc for 2GR-FKS injectors is, but the 440cc Mercedes C63 AMG might fit on your platform if someone is doing a light/ moderate boost build. Someone has to take the gamble on test fitting it on their Tacoma of course.

I think Mat/OV did as part of the TT kit R&D since he eventually referred people to Lexus injectors for the powermax kits

Not off the top of my head. I had the base turbos with no fueling upgrades, so I always watched the upgraded fueling stuff with less attention than the others. I should've been more attentive lol
