I got 30k on my S/C and I have taken it to the dealer, who installed it, and they keep talking about the 100k service and have said that the intake filter is good, what I am asking is do I need to change it or clean it and how,

I'm assuming you have a 4.0L v6? I have one of those, I'm at 32k miles, and I've repleaced it twice already. It's about 20 bucks on Amazon, and it's very easy to replace yourself.

There are two filters, the main one is the one you replace. There is another on the 'clean' side you shouldn't ever have to mess with.

I would defiantly replace at 30k..even if your a city boy and never get out in the real shit.

I removed that 2nd filter years ago. It's just activated charcoal for any gas fumes in the intake at shut down. Marked improvement in throttle response!

K&n, flowmaster, plastidip, chipped, hids, daves
the factory blower comes with a washable "TRD" filter, most likely a k&n or afe.

GET THE CLEANING KIT from the dealership, wash the filter, oil it as directed.

or better still, get an AFE stage 2 Si intake with the prodry S filter
