    Hey guys, I'm preparing to replace the timing belt, water pump, etc... I'm pushing 170K so it's about time right. :eek: Can anyone recommend a distributor for the parts and what's needed? Also can you tell me what all should be replaced while it's being done? THANKS

    I'm seeing timing belt kits with different combinations of items, what should be included in the kit?

    I personally wouldn't put that cheapo EBAY crap on my truck, unless it was all OEM (factory).

    Aircabinman seems to be the seller to go to

    I hear he sells two kits one is all the Toyota packaged parts

    The other is the same parts packaged in the manufactures packaging

    I plan to buy a kit just so I have one when mine quits

    I ordered the kit, next will be fluids, then shocks and maybe leaf springs. The OEM shocks are shot and the leafs have a negative arch.

    Here is a thread you could check out on the fluids;

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/i-need-to-change-all-my-fluids.439391/

    Regarding suspension, I'm not wanting additional lift and sticking to stock ride height. I just ordered Bilstein 5100's all around (set at 0 setting) and Wheelers 4-Leaf springs. I also ordered all the various Bushings & Bumpstops too. Check these guys out;

    How do you know?
    Clicking on the link in post #5, I see several brands in the image ( Mitsubishi, Bando, Koyo etc.) No Toyota. (EDIT- the tensioner appears to be Toyota)
    Are you thinking of a different kit on EBAY?

    Neatoneto,
    That looks much better, I'd order that one.

    I'm debating between stock height and maybe 1"-2" lift.
