I asked the dealer to change mine at 5k rather than 10k and they had no problems with that. So my free oil changes will occur at 5k and 15k, which is how it should be IMO.

Bought my 2018 at 1500 miles as a certified used. The certification process included oil and filter change. I went back at about 7500 and had it changed again, free and no problem. The little windshield sticker placed there by the service tech recommended at 13,000, but when I took it in, they resorted to the 10,000 interval for the free change, and told me the 5000 interval is just for tire rotation and topping off fluids. Ok, I bought a filter and went home and changed my own. I'll probably let them do the 10,000 interval and do my own at 5000. Maybe just an old guy stuck in the last millennium, but even in my mostly light duty driving 10k seems too long.

10k isn't too long, oil companies love you though.

I had a maintenance reminder at 8k km and after that, no more.

I think it's ok to get the 1st oil change early, but getting one 2k later is an absolute joke.

As long as it is on their dime since we paid for it anyway. You must be one that waits til the oil is black before changing it.

Bought my truck last May and am only at 4,200 miles now. I'm pushing for an oil change at my 5k due to time, not mileage.
