OK. I would reccomend you get yourself a tread depth gauge and check the actual depth. Your truck is driven probably 90% of the time in 2wd, thus the rear tires will wear out faster than the fronts. If the wear between the front and rear gets too far apart, you can damage the transfer case when you use 4wd.

Almost forgot, you may want to replace your PCV valve while your at it as I'm sure its never been done.

Looks like there are still some K&N believers out there on here.. I would not reccomend the use of any oiled air filter as it can lead to the MAF sensor getting covered in oil causing it to read innacurately or potentially fail. I use Mann filters personally.

Was at Autozone today and the guy told me the NGK Iriduim IX will work with the truck. Been reading on here that most people do not like them due to acceleration issues. Most of those cases were for 1st Gen's. Anyone with a 2nd gen v6 4.0 have any input on these?! Bought them but want to know before I install so I dont waste the little fortune that these cost....

    THANKS!

I'd suggest removing and putting a bit of anti-seize on the pins
that hold the brake pads in the front brake calipers, especially if
you live up here in the rust belt.

On my 99, when I went to replace front brake pads at around
60,000 miles, I didn't think I was going to be able to remove the
pins as they had started to seize in the caliper. Luckily, I was
able to finally get them removed, and thereafter, I pulled the
pins and anti-seized them every 6000 miles when I rotated the
    tires.

On my 09, I kept an eye on them and sure enough around 24000
miles (after 2 winters worth of salted roads), you could feel where
they were beginning to seize again. I went back to pulling the pins
every tire rotation and applying anti-seize again. You don't have
to pull the pads, just do one pin at a time. It will save you a lot
of hassle come time to change the pads.

Bump, Finally finished all of this, Took way too long to get to it IMO but atleast it is done. The magnets in the Diffs were atrocious. happy they are cleaned and good to go now. Need to just order the redline MT-90 for the tranny and do that real quick.
