Well my dad has had this happen in the '10 Tundra. Dont know if this is something that is a freak coincidence to your situation, but in a panic stop situation he slammed on the brakes and said the pedal went to the flour. He said he had to let off of the pedal and press it again to stop.

Ive had the abs go off for the slightest little bump. I am thinking that if the ABS kicks in your going to keep on going.

I don't like the ABS on this truck -- too touchy

    Anyway -- just an idea.

    Lady? You mean other car?

Your truck should still be under warranty, take it in and have them take a look at your brakes before possibly someone/you gets hurt or worse.

I did a couple very hard braking with my truck and I can say, they don't grip well during panic stops. Maybe it's just my truck not saying in general. I did it in open parking lots stopping from 60, 40.

I'm kinda starting to feel the same way. I was braking last night while pulling up to a light (dry roads, normal braking) and it felt like the whole truck was shuddering...not badly, but enough that I noticed it. I just thought it might have been the road itself, but I can't help but feel it was the ABS kicking in for no apparent reason.

a couple times under hard braking on bumpy/uneven pavement i could feel the abs kick in a little prematurely due to the lack of weight over the rear wheels and the weight transfer. im in a 09 reg cab 2.7 5spd

Brakes is the word you're looking for.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I haven't had any issues with mine when i've had to slam on the brakes.

I'm thinking it's the ABS. When it kicks in it gives you the feeling that the truck isn't stopping.
