Any regrets not going 5.29s? I see you are running 4.88s

4.88s with an auto was perfect I thought on 35s. Everyone else says otherwise lol. Cruises 80 if I want without it screaming. Offroadings a little different for me cause i have dual cases with 2.28 and 4.7 and mainly use the 4.7 and really like it.

Going to 37s so getting 5.29s. Interested in an 8in with 488s and a detroit?

With the amount it cost to regear & gain (200ish rpms), IMO put that towards a front FJ80 high pinion diff. You'll get some strength in the front and bit more clearance.

That's what james from low range said. Problem is I just rebuilt this axle and redid all the steering. And not sure i have room for a high pinion diff. Oil pans already been self clearanced by the steering lol. I think I'm going to run the gears I have now, get a wider front housing and regear with an arb in the front later down the road. I had the opportunity to buy 40s (same price as the 37s I bought) but opted out. If I go any bigger than these tires I'll be getting some 1tons or something. Plus 40s would make all the local trails boring lol

Not really sure if I'm going to even worry about regearing after seeing this. I'll drive it first and see then decide.

That James guy is lame don't listen to him!

Run the gears ya have see how your set up does / holds up with the 37s.. If something is terrible make it better.. If not leave it..

I said tons and 40s.. but..

I also have a little rig on Toy axles and 35s for the easier stuff and have a blast in it!

Narrowed done what wheels I think I'm gonna get.

Raceline Monsters. The non beadlock ones. Almost half the price of the real beadlock s so they will do for now. Have to decide on machined or black? Any opinions? I'm leaning towards the machined (silver) just to be different.

They have two options for offset and backspacing. It's a 17x9 in wheel with either 0 offset and 5 in backspacing or -12 offset and 4.5 in backspacing. Any preference on which to get?

Make sure you run some tape around the inner bead .. usually 2 wraps is the magic number..
Are these wheels for the new axle or your axle?

Neither of those options will stick out much .. What do you currently have on there?
