02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
Drive it everywhere for a week. Did you just replace the o2 sensors or something?

No after it didn't pass last week I discounted the battery for a while to reset everything and when I had resmogged it came back as the same thing. No codes so 02 sensors should be good. That's the plan. Throwing the full doors back ok tomorrow and will drive it to work this week and see what happens.

Went wheeling again at Rocky Gap today.. lots of fun and pushing the truck more and more. No problems and almost made the last waterfall. Did hit the gas tank and dented it some more. May be time to move to a Ford tank. Going to do some maintenance this coming weekend since Rubicons coming up soon.

Well smashed the gas tank a little yesterday and got a branch in the driver rear tire. It's a slow leak with the branch still in it so will go get it plugged in Tuesday when discount opens after I get up in the afternoon. Need to either add a 1/8 in skid to the gas tank, get @Low Range Off-Road gas tank skid or do the Ford tank between the frame rails. Have to see how bad it is once I drop the skid.

The hydro assist ram keeps creeping down the tie rod so need to adjust it again and put some tack welds to keep it from moving.

Ford gas tank and move the rear axle 10 inches foward with the Chevy 63s. Bob 10 inches out the front of the bed. :spy: 4wheel underground 3 link the front with a trail gear, ruffstuff or diamond tacoma width housing. Now you see where my heads at haha :stirthepot:

I'd leave the rear axle where it is. Do the 63s in the rear, link the front with 14" coilovers, 4WU kit and diamond axles. Far too much work to bob the front of the bed. Save that time and look at putting a crawler box or 4 speed Atlas in the Taco. You'll be much happier with that.

I want the shorter wheelbase so it's easier to steer. Already bobbed it once so it's whatever. Probably going to leave it for a few years.

I already have a crawl box?? 2.28 front and 4.7 rear case? Automatic to lol.

Atlas is better in my eyes just because it's stronger and it's not Trail Gear. Plus having the front and rear drives being independent of each other is great.

I agree. Love the design of a sealed unit and seperate from the transmission. Just not paying for another transfer case. Always loved how everyone rags on trail gear yet they don't run any of their parts or never had. I've had my bad parts from them but have had a lot worse from other companies. And sometimes you have to go with what's available. Not everyone wants to wait 8 months- year for parts. And I think I've used my truck more than most and harder than most have yet to have anything big to fail. *knock on wood.

There are a lot of worse companies out there. Only reason I give Trail Gear products a hard time is because they're always something better. I totally understand the unwillingness to not upgrade. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But that said, if you ever blow up the t-case, then you do have a reason to upgrade. :stirthepot:

How many TG parts do you have on your truck or have seen failed in person?

@malburg114 I have no regrets on my TG parts. All have worked flawlessly for me and shipped in a timely manner. Far better than can be said for Marlin, AP, Inchworm, Front Range, etc. You are like me and actually want to wheel your junk instead of fapping online to vendors that are "better".

Not sure I totally agree. But I'll let you have your moment. I know my money was well spent even though I don't have top of the line parts. I spent my money and time on gears and lockers and dual cases and gas to get to the trail instead of light bars and painted shackles and 600 dollar winch lines.

To each their own and let people keep reading that they have to spend extra money for the same thing that works for the average Joe.

Same here. My truck no longer fits into the "bolt on" category so I get having to modify stuff to work now. And I've had all problems with the companies you listed. Low range has been the best to deal with thus far. Will continue to wheel mine how I do even though everyone tells me what I have won't work. :D

I don't have anything Trail Gear on my truck. Only parts I've seen fail have been the their wheel spacers and the Longfield Axles shafts, not entirely sure if it was after TG took over Longfield. My distrust for TG might also be influenced by the people I've wheel with and have had bad experiences with TG.

I won't say Trail Gear is bad, but I won't say Trail Gear is good. I personally rather have part on my truck where I know people have positive experiences with the products they've bought. If TG works on someone else's rig and they haven't had issues, then that's awesome.

You're suppose to be able to take the a gas tank out of a Ford and transplant it between the frame rails of the Tacoma behind the rear axle.

Brian (@breynolds84 on Insta) is currently doing it to his Tacoma so he can 4 link the rear. Click Here
