So trying to possibly plan a trip in May. Needed to use some vacation so am off May 17-26 off and am thinking of doing the rubicon, spending a few more days in moab or a week or so in sand hollow or anywhere else within a reasonable distance. Anyone want to meet up and do some wheeling? Should be the perfect time of the year as its just starting to get hot out but not to hot.

Had this show up on the door step today. Won it from gear heads outdoor shops random raffle in Moab during EJS. Super stoked on it and will have to make a mount for it. Sucks I just bought a soft ozark cooler though lol. Some other goodies should be arriving tomorrow as well.

To bad those days aren’t in June or I’d run the rubicon with you.

Good to know. They gave me the plastic hose for it but I don't think it'll be long enough. May have to see about getting that.

Ran rocky gap again today with some new guys. There's slowly a group of locals all getting older Toyota's built so ran with another guy today with a nice 83. Still can't make the last waterfall at the end of this trail but did make a bigger nastier one a little ways farther down. Fun day overall and hope to get out more and do some night wheeling soon since the weather's heating up

No truck updates but garage is almost done. A mid renovation picture
    20180419_150518.jpg

And how it is currently. Getting close. House is done for the most part besides yard work and some small stuff inside so hope to get my last few tools and I need and start looking for a trailer and building a cage and the rear axle

Did an impromptu night run up rocky gap Friday night with 2 guys in 83 Toyotas. Was a lot of fun since we where able to keep moving and made it through the trail fairly quickly. Still didn't make the last waterfall as its super dug out and got bellied out on the sliders. Front housing is taking a beating on the rocks out there though. Did end up catching the very bottom of the passenger tail light cover. No body damage just broke the lens so if anyone has any extras, I could use one.

No real pictures as we where just chugging along

Finally found a trailer. Wasn't really planning on getting one but it was to good of a deal to pass up. Needs a little work but everything I buy needs a little work. Probably replace the deck and paint it first.

Nice find! Beside maybe a new deck and some paint, it looks like it's in pretty good shape.

Small recommendation, get some weld on d-rings. They'll be much nice then those u bolts. Also if you have the time, drive over fender would be neat to see.

New deck and some paint will come soon enough. I trust the front u bolts the guy made but not the rear so I'll change that up with some sort of tie down points front and rear. No need for drive over fenders, truck will just barely fit.

I've found the one downside of owning a trailer is you feel obligated to tow someone home if they break..

When I had one the downside was evreyone wanted to borrow it, and I spent more time prepping it/wrenching on it before a trip than the damn truck going on it.

Mines been pretty good...Never have loaned it out, just pump the axles full of new grease yearly and head down the road. If it’s Dexter’s are like the ones on my 18’ enclosed trailer, I’ll get about 10 years/100k miles out of the brakes too.

I'm not too worried. I don't have too many friends with any use for a trailer or that doesn't already have one and just wont tell them haha. I have to go get a jack for the garage and some jack stands then I'll check the bearings and brakes. Pretty sure it needs new brakes as they where pretty weak.

Any suggestions on paint for painting the thing? Roll/brush it on or spray

Spray paint. My dad and I used a bunch of Rustoleum Hammered Black on his last trailer. Turned out really well from what I remember.
