Brakes are on. Been driving it for a few days. Pedals softer and has a little more travel but stops way better.

Read about your aftermarket steering pump setup in another thread - Interested in hooking up a similar setup for my stock rack. I accidentally broke a sensor / connector when making room for a shock hoop and I'm thinking it may be easier to put in an aftermarket pump rather than finagle around with the stock pump if possible.

I dont see why it wouldnt work. Probably need to get some custom lines made up with ends to go from the new pump to the rack. Just get the pump bracket from tg and pick your flavor of pump. I've heard a lot of good thinks about the tg one and would probably go with theirs.

Does the stock pump pressure switch get used by the TG pump or the pump you use? It was hard to see on the install PDF that came with it - that's the main thing getting in my way when fitting new shock hoops.

That would be great - will do. If you can take a pic and show me what's happening with the hoses coming off the pump etc that would be super helpful too - may be a plan for down the road and just buy a replacement switch and electrical connector (is yours just unplugged if you're not using the switch?). I appreciate it man. Happy New Year.

Your tundra brake swap. Did you modify the caliper mounting ear on the knuckle for proper fitment? Or did it fit without any modification.

Ah I see. Didnt use the caliper ears on the knuckles. You have to use the bracket from fror that uses ifs hubs to put tacoma/tundra brakes on mini truck knuckles.

Haven’t posted in a while. No real updates just a pile of parts sitting. Hoping to finally drop the spindles off this week to be machined to fit in the axle housing.

Also picked up a high pinion zip locker for the front with 5.29s and a set of 5.29s for the 9 in.

And picked this thing up. 89 Pickup 4x4 and 3.0. Plan is to daily it. Drives well just needs the ac recharged.

Some better pictures of the 89. Paints a little chalky but think it looks pretty cool. Interior is mint besides the door handles.

It’s almost to nice to cut up. Not a dent on the body. With that said I do have some 37s, e locker rear axle. 4.88 front diff and soon doublers laying around.... wouldn’t mind throwing some skinny 33s or 34s and some newer shocks on it though. Time will tell.

Hopefully one project at a time since the house and Tacoma take most of my time.

Finally started taking apart the rear and dropped off the spindles to be machined down to fit in the housing. Redoing the leaf pack, shock mounts, adding hydro bumps, and a few other things. Should be looking good here in the next few months

Got the axle back and assembled so I can figure how much I have to trim off the axle tubes. As it sits, it’s 80.5 inches wide. Plan on taking off 12.5-12.75 to match the front at 68 inches. It’s a heavvvyyyy axle now and doesn’t have much added to it. Also tore apart the front while I was measuring it so I can put in the new 3rd.

Was nice to see everything still intact and good on the front end.
