What did you use for the headlight filler plates and do you have any pictures of attachments for it?

Mine keep falling out and it looked terrible when I didn't have anything to fill it.

Just some thin gauge aluminum. Only a single bolt holds the filler piece in that goes through the marker light tab on the side. The front just tucks under the grill.

I really hate the look and am planning on trying to atleast fit some stock lenses with maybe a light behind it since a stock headlight won’t fit without cutting the back because of a tube.

Yea the heavy glass 4runner lights are killing me. I pulled them and had pods in for a while but it looked like trash. Put the headlights back in and they last a month then rip screws out of the housing.

I was thinking maybe some plastic filler to cover markers and headlight area with some 7” round aftermarket headlights bolted on the bumper.

Maybe I’ll try to mount a pod inside the headlight housing and take out the glass to make it lighter.

Well traded the 67 dodge sweptline for an 83 Toyota pickup. Should be a good daily to switch off between with my 89. Ordered some new tires which should be here this week D0233568-D2EC-4BDE-B9B0-049004F83E27.jpg2601BBD5-A4E4-492E-B313-F043E8DF9D94.jpg

Best of the west at sand hollow was rad. Ran some hard trails and really pushed myself and the truck. Another flawless run with no winching or breaks for me. You mean that Tacoma IFS doesn’t hold up to hard trails bound up on 80 grit sandpaper? Better not say that too loud around here or you’ll hurt some feelings

Nah man you just need 4k worth of axle shafts, only use the locker when going straight, a hydro ram instead of the rack, and never turn the wheel more than 15* while climbing something, other than that it works just as good as a solid axle offroad.:D

They definitely have a different style of wheeling. Bashing and destroying a 40-50k truck or jeep is always hard to watch.

I don’t know the total count but a bunch of cvs, a tie rod, a 3rd gen blew an engine after it started knocking and a ton of body damage for a lot of the guys. They did some hard trails but they also payed the consequences for running those hard trails lol.

Watching them pull on the steering wheel to turn was hard to watch. And you could always tell when the front was locked because of all the clicking cvs lol.

I've wheeled with that crew! It's a good time.

I like pushing my rig, but not quite to the same extent.

I think the total count was 7 CV axles, 3 tie rods, 2 u-joints, 1 brake line, 1 intermediate shaft, and 1 engine. They definitely go hard in the paint, quite literally for some haha.

Yeah. It's wild. I'm all for a good time and pushing rigs hard, but that's a bit extreme for me. I'll go that hard in the paint with the next rig I build, or possibly a buggy if I really want to party

I think the problem is when you become a trail tampon in those situations. I'm all for pushing your truck but it sucks to go wheeling and get held up by guys breaking their trucks on things they shouldn't be on. It's a fine line and no idea if this was that kind of situation though. I'm completely biased since I hate trail repairs with a passion.

    That checks out.

Glad your junk is still working well through. It's funny how much less body damage in particular you end up taking after making the truck more capable.

I’m same boat. Hate clogging the trail and holding people up. There was only one time we really waited for a guy so it wasn’t a big deal.

thanks. My crap continuous to surprise me with no issues and no damage. This crowd seemed to enjoy the damage and almost wanted to get it. I was happy to come through unscathed and not pull a line for Myswlf on anything.
