Not disagreeing about the year releases and such.

It's just that you stated looking "specifically for 2000" spindles.

I wanted to broaden your search so you don't miss out on something from say, 1999.

You also don't need the rotor, etc.

Just need the cv axles, spindles with appropriate axle hub and that's it. And of course the manual hubs.

Clamp your ADD diff tube to the engaged position so that it works in the same way as the manual diff tube.

Absolutely. I just wanted something as close to 2000 as possible. Obviously less wear and tear and more than likely, less miles.

I mean, if I found a 96 with 10,000 miles on it, obviously I would buy them.

I only mentioned the rotors because they were included in the complete assembly.

The front diff is going to be the pita.
Dont believe to many 4x4's came factory with 4:56 gears. (as did my prerunner)

So i'll have to widen my search to possibly t4r's or swap gears in either my rear diff or a front diff after I find one.

I'd opt for new rotors and pads, brakes are a wear item.

    20191002_101517.jpg

Manual hubs should be measured for wear and inspected for damage; if they check out then you can rebuild them.

Spindles and steering knuckles are the same thing :playball:

That's a bargain though if you've got the transmission and transfer case combo included in your cost.

RockAuto sells the hub, w/hub nut, for about $40 (when they have them in stock). I converted my 98 Tacoma to manual hubs a couple years ago. Cost about $500 in parts (before S&H and tax). Here's my parts list.

That post is 14 years old and Downey has been out of business for like 10 years. I wouldn't worry about it.

Today is just not my day. I literally thought it was Wednesday until I saw my neighbor rolling his trash cans out. I was like dude, you're a day early... oh wait, shit.

I didn't convert to manual hubs for strength. The argument can be made that they're more prone to breakage. I did it to save wear and tear on front drivetrain. And it's quieter on the road without the transfer case engaged. Just sayin'.

What's driving the rear wheels if the Tcase is not engaged?
