My Gen I the clutch pedal was squeaking, so I moved my foot from the inside of the pedal pressing outwards to the outside of the pedal pressing inwards. Problem solved. I'm not hearing any squeaking with this Gen II, 12k miles so far.

They thought it was a waste of time because it was. You had a dealership technician spend hours on your truck just to grease your clutch pedal to make you happy. You wasted his time and shafted him out of money he could've been making on a worthwhile ticket instead of a customer complaint about a slight noise.

The clutch squeak is not a slight noise...its a terribly annoying design flaw on a pretty expensive vehicle and it IS Toyotas problem to address and correct it.

I agree. My 2012 has squeeked since I bought it with 40 miles. Also seems to be temperature related. I didn't think to take it in because it would be a waste of their time. But now hearing all these other complaints, I will be having it adressed at the next service. I really don't think it's a waste of the techs time; they are paid by toyota when it is under warranty(I had them replace my blown fuse). The Tech made cash money to look at a squeek. Perhaps Toyota will notice all these charges for a squeeky clutch and address it before they put their trucks on the lot.

I always pulled assy apart at 15k service and brushed on anti seize. Its amazing how many customers had the squeak but did not complain but would call the service writer to say thanks when they realized it was gone and read the service notes on their receipt that stated clutch pedal lube N/C.

May be a dumb question, but is the "squeak" the same as a creak? My pedal creaks when I let it out for the first 25% or so, then goes away as I fully let off to engage the clutch. Thinking of greasing the parts mentioned but wanted to know if what I am experiencing is the same? I will take a video and post it later to confirm.

They squeak because there is a design fault with the TO bearing assembly. If you don't pre-load the TO bearing it will slip, vibrate and squeak. I chose to fix mine rather than wasting money on continuously replacing parts.

I've had this issue on my '12 since it had about 5000 miles on it. Now I'm at 15,000 miles, 3 trips to the dealer, and about two cans of their white lithium grease down the road and the problem still persists. I'm going to try this out and cross my fingers that it works.

Oh yeah, I've been searching for any posts on this issue and have been pretty unsuccessful. I suggest the write up be put in the 2nd gen Tips, Mods, and More section.

I keep a can of lithium grease in my access cubbies. When the gas door hinge gets sprayed I hit the clutch shaft and the slave fork. Neither issue has returned.

"Blaster" white lithium grease spray solved the squeak problem for me. Dealer replacement of the throwout bearing took care of the chirping sound

My 07 sqeaks only when the truck is cold. On a few 100+ degree days i difnt have the sqeak. I assume its springs that stop sqeaking when they heat up.
