I get what you're saying and will be patient, but there are limits. It's completely backwards IMO to immediately take someone's money and then cop an attitude/get pissed when they ask about progress (which is what I'm getting from your "entitled a-hole" comment and the customer reviews on Facebook). He's offering a product, and with that product comes a timeline for completion (14 working days to complete an engraved shifter according to the website). I waited until that time expired + a week, then sent a friendly email asking for an update. No response. Understand that I would wait much longer than that if the actual completion time was disclosed up front. If you're going to be in business, you better make customer service a priority - or hire someone who can handle that end properly while you churn out quality product.

don't need to explain it to me, we're in agreement. in person i can't play along with attitude. but online i just forget about it to get the piece.

worked right out, he liked me enough to throw in another for free. believe it or not that happened again at Anarchy Motive. i ordered a custom and he comp'd me another, which is the main one i use while the most perfect custom sits in a box. o_O

    Nice shifter!

I just can't wrap my head around the need to stroke some dude just to get what I paid for in a reasonable amount of time (or as promised). Anyway, just mucking up the coolest thread on TW.

PSA - For those thinking of ordering a Flossy shifter, just be aware timelines are not being met - so not a good idea for a gift.

Besides the pattern the major difference is the boot adapter. The AT snaps in while the MT is a quarter turn. My question would be could you take the boot adapter from your current knob and insert it i to the AT knob. Im not sure how it is secured in there. Id love to see if soneone could remove that piece from their AT knob. I have been looking to do this myself but if it doesnt work id have to return it. Also it wont be returnable if it gets damaged when removing it. Maybe you could be the guinea pig and order one up?

1st gen manual hub trucks ftw haha. Although i don't have power anything, so there's a tradeoff.

Congratulations, good work. I learned to drive on a manual transmission and before I drove on the street I'd driven tractors with manuals. There's still some adjustment when I go to a new vehicle or a vehicle I don't drive frequently.

This is a good idea. Holding the clutch down won't wear out the clutch lining but it will acellerate wear on the throw out bearing which is almost as much work to replace as the clutch.

More importantly by letting off the clutch, trans in neutral and brakes applied, you won't kill the tension provided by the pressure plate springs. Keep them flexed at every stop over and over every day, will eventually reduce their effective spring rate. Once this is reduced, then the clutch will begin to slip and wear prematurely without your consent.

    Mostly stuff I built.
The auto knobs use a 10 mm thread.
    Manual knobs are 12mm thread.

Lol damn, you respond after I finally decide to bite the bullet and just order one. Ah well, looks like 10mm to 12mm adapters are fairly common so if that's the only difference I'll still be satisfied.

I read somewhere that people don’t recommend remote starts on a MT.

LOL I'm that kind of person. I need to force myself to remember to use the parking brake so it doesn't freeze up over time.

Yes basically that’s it. If you opt for a long range remote with a start button then 33.1 option would work. If you only use oem remote you must use 33.2. These are set with the flash link programmer.
