The shifter seat bushing? No need to grease. Just goes right in

Dealer is telling me I need to buy a new housing as the seat bushing is installed already?
I am having a little trouble with getting the new seat bushing into the existing housing :/

I think you ordered the one for a manual transmission.

Order the bottom option to get the manual trans and transfer case bushings all in one shipment

Did you pry out the old seat?

A socket can be used to tap the new one in. But you should be able to do by hand see 2:02 or so here

As far as gasket goes, If you're in a pinch you can pick up a sheet of gasket maker and make your own or use RTV

:annoyed: lol ahh man I can't even get the seat bushing in also I went got ultra black, is that overkill? From the drawing of the parts schematics and the parts I feel like something is off.
The guys checked my part #'s and said they're correct for this truck, but don't seem to sit or fit right.

What is the OD of the seat and what is the ID of the shifter base?

Black is just fine, it is the most durable against gear oil. I use it for differentials and oil pans

I'm fairly confident you got the seat for the manual transmission and not the transfer case

Firstly, the original black o-ring that was under the corroded seat cushion remnants is slightly smaller then the new one.
Secondly, the larger curved shaped piece on the shaft does not allow the shift lever cap to slip on over at all.

Sorry I'm a diyer and super new to this
