meh.....nothing been happening to it lately. Been busier than a whorehouse on nickle night. No time to do anything......Hopefully September will change all that..

the Khumos had much time on sharp rocks?

wondering how they hold up to greater than average abuse, how durable the sidewalls are, and how the air down. I have a bad habit of spinning my tires when the sidewalls is pinned agains rocks (sometimes sharp ones). i also air down a lot. thinking about the road venture mt as a next tire.

 

I would say i have had them on couple trails with sharp rock and held up pretty wheel no sketchy times.

Is far as air down there is no real bulge cause are trucks are not heavy enough, had them down to like 8 psi.

just weight my truck 5200 lbs.

They are kinda sketchy in the snow. I have had my whole rear just slide out on me. But i did not have that much weight in the back that might have been the reason.

They are directional so you can only change the tires from front to back not across.


I have about 30 k right now they still seem good for another 15k aleast.

 

really, no bulge at all? do they not bulge just sitting there, or they don't even bulge when they're propped up on something, putting a lot of force on them? i'm a little heavier than you, but nothing substantial. what load range are you running. my Ds bulge, but i could see Es not

i don't mind the directional tread, but i may need the snow performance.

 

I mean there is little bulge but not that much when air downed.

Not sure on the bulge when force is place on them like for example a rock.

I am running D's as far as load range.

What size tire you on?

How far down do you air down???

my Air pressure was at like 20 psi.

i'm on 285/70/17s. my deflators are set to 15 psi

they compress pretty well with ecenly distributed force vvv


and they really squich when they are is a smaller area of contact with force vvv



how low do you think you'd have to run them in a 35 to get that kind of deformation?

 

not sure maybe see deformation at like 5 psi never really tried. Maybe this next big bear trip i will air down alot to see if there is any bulge.

Nice Juan how you likin the shackles and bar?

 

It's nice just because the shackles are greasable and the the brace is nice cuz the rear feels little more solid.
Next week ill be doing my light racing uppers and then I'm also gunna weld up my tc coil bucket gussets.
