That thing is bad ass and the pickups are decently priced but I'm trying to move out soon so I've been saving like crazy lately.

Tested out the winch with new battery on sunday.

When u use a pulley you have more pulling power.

 

Only if the object being moved is tied to the pulley. In your photo assuming the red truck is anchored you are applying double the force to the tree, but both trucks see the same force just redirected through the pulley. If you want to slow the pull on your own truck you would attach the hook on the end of the winch line to your own recovery hook and use a line to connect the pulley (snatch block) to a big tree or something solid. This will then double the force and cut the net line speed in half, the drawback being you only have half the pull distance.
