March 2019 Seattle-Area Meet

It's been far too long since I've been able to join a trail run. I wish I knew places to go, but I'm a newb with a stock truck lol. Friday's or Saturday's preferably!!! (I work Sundays )

 

So, here's my random idea: Oyster Run.

Head to somewhere to grab some oysters from an oystery, head somewhere offroad around there, and shuck and / or roast some up at a nice campfire? Otherwise, BYO meat?

 

Yuckkkkkk Oysters???? Im down for some meat though. And a snow run that I will likely bail out on last minute due to some form of work/school/snowboarding/biking adventure

 

In the areas where the oysteries are, there will be less snow, if there is any. I am completely unfamiliar with anything offroad there. I'm mainly suggesting something SW of Olympia.

Also, I believe all BLM campgrounds are free through May? So that is another possibility this month for next?

 

This weekend is shaping up to be busy for me, but is any one open for a Friday run?

 

Why not plan a Saturday trip to the Moses Lake Sand Dunes? There's no snow and it's usually dry even when it's raining over here. Anyone want to sharpen up their sand skills.

I was tossing around a Tahuya run, but is there any particular place you have in mind?

 

I'm thinking this could be a good trip. This weekend is out form me, but would definitely keep this in mind for latter.

How about Tayhua then. Other than the Kitsap Peninsula, most everything I know of is under at least a foot of snow. I know your mostly stock and I don't have a winch so not sure we want to go play in the snow. If I'm remembering right you have mud tires or were those Jim's?

 

those were @JimSnell mud tires. these stock ones do NOT like mud haha, but they tackle snow pretty well

 

Tayhua is going to have some mud. If you would rather head for the snow up on FS roads that would work also. I'm fairly open to go where ever.

 

Any interest in going to the green dots in eastern WA? Bit of a drive, but conditions might be ok and roads arent difficult

Was over in Cle Elum and Ellensburg last week . There was a good foot of snow in town and they got more over the weekend.

 

Also, I think most of the green dot roads are closed until either April 1st or May 1st, one of the two.

 

The days are getting noticably longer, if that helps.
