Bahia Honda state park is a great deal if you are into camping.

Old wooden bridge guest cottages on Big Pine key is a great place to stay if you need full amnenaties.

Have a drink at the No Name Pub, walking distance from Old wooden Bridge.

Awesome idea man. I did something similar this spring, got laid off so me and a buddy drove down from Colorado to the Florida keys to spend a few weeks kayak fishing down there. Had a fuckin blast. Wish I could afford to live down there. Once down in the keys hit up 5 Brothers sandwiches on Ramrod Key. Got a sandwich there everyday before getting on the water and miss it. Dont forget to stop in new orleans for a night, I dont remember much of being there but my buddy said I had fun lol.

It's a mad house here right now with the new stadiums being built and lots of construction on 75. I live in the Atlanta area and its bad.

Also, good luck on trip! Sounds like a blast.

Cool, I did something similar about 10 years ago before I had to start being an adult.
I moved about 1000 miles from home, then hiked the AT (yes, the whole thing), then backpacked Eastern Europe for 5 months...9 countries in total....came back when I was out of money, showered and shaved, and have been in corporate America ever since! lol
