6/30/19. Edit: update to original post. Thread is morphing. We out grew the travel trailer and got a class c RV. We just made due for a while until we came across a deal much better and sooner than expected.

Alright so there has a been a few people asking me to post some pics of my small camper build. For the most part it is not a big deal. Just a lot of small improvements to make it more enjoyable. I have realized that I have a few mods done that I have not taken pictures of but will add on later. Comments welcomed. More pictures to come.

So here are the factory pictures from initial purchase being brand new, followed with some of the first camp shakedown.

Purchased spring 2014. Model 177.
Going to use this post for mods completed and future mods planned out.
Finished mods:
Interior shelving added.
Surge protector - Progressive Industries.
From single to dual propane tank.
Custom lengthened propane hose.
Added spare tire mount to front tongue.
Opened/ created space for under seat. storage next to surge protector.
Added tongue box.
Relocated battery inside tongue box.

Future mods:
Screen door lock change.
Add additional tube for sewer hose.

Updates on this list as I remember them lol.

 

The mod list started off pretty small, but has grown a bit. The first couple mods were to increase storage while camping. Shelving was added in. I installed 2 of these. One over the permanent bed, the other over the dinette/ bed. I used the wrong kind of brackets when installing initially due to camper wall type construction and my non familiarity with working with this kind of construction. It was later followed by adding a surge protector for obvious reasons. This I installed within.

 

We've got to have a picture of the Tacoma doing some work!

 

Adding pictures of removing/ grinding and cutting off the single propane tank and switching up to a dual propane tank setup. With the dual propane setup I moved it forward more and had a longer line custom made for it. Also spare tire mount add on to front tongue. Another change, was taking the bench space next to my surge protector sectioning it off and turning it into useable under seat storage. Lastly installing a tongue box box, and battery relocate.

Great camper! They really pack alot into a smaller package there very nice. I was unaware they even have a small bumpout gives even more room

 

Yeah they aren't to shabby at all. Some well most have that slide out. For the most part pretty good quality. I still need to upload a few pics of some of the mods I did. Not the best at taking pics while working lol.

 

I take plenty of pics, obviously, but have to stop and make myself do it for the most part. I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing I just don't think much about it

 

Nice camper! I really like the R-Pods I'm definitely following this.

Add the list to the op and put page numbers with them so we can see and go to the page to view. A table of contents if you will

 

My brother has this camper and it has a huge tent that attaches to the entry side. His wife is almost 6’ so she complains the bathroom is too small aren’t most bathrooms in campers small ?

 

I have this guy for 3 years now and never used the shower or furnace . Barely used the A/C .
