Thanks. I figured that was the case. I know some parks within the NPS are free to enter during the shutdown. I wouldn’t enter without proper permit. Not worth the hassle and having lived out west I have a great appreciation for the NPS.

I whacked 2 doe. And the crabbing is awesome! Open year round. I constantly have 3 pots in the water about 10 minutes from my house.

Honestly now is the time to go without a permit. Rangers are furloughed so you cant be ticketed for it. VA side is open and not gated.

Late response but that you for the info. I have all that stuff plus the SDHQ Custom panel to fit the cubby hole above the rear window switches etc.

I have never really messed with wiring so was just wanting some guidance. I’m good with turning wrenches.

Are you local, I wouldn’t mind to check yours out.

    Thank you

    Jeremiah

Nice. Don't accidentally get the ammo mixed up! Some people get dust covers that say "300 BLK" or whatever.

Plan on ordering a dedicated 300 Blackout mag (1-10 rd) then get some dedicated 20-30mags when I take a trip out State .That way there no mix up

If any of you are car nuts/looking for a trip, Febuary 15-16 is the Waste Management Winter Rallysprint. Looks like well actually get some snow this year, so it should make for a great event. They still need volunteers if thats your thing, especially Ham Radio Operators, but even just bringing extra bodies would help.

a few things. the main busy spots are the start and finish, where they call out each car as it starts and finishes, so if someone starts but dosent finish, we know to start looking for them. there is an operator on the sweep crew, to go looking after any missing cars, and to make sure the stage is clear, and then theres others dotted along the course noting the cars as they go by, so if a car passes checkpoint E but dosent make it to F, then we know its somewhere between the two. theres also usually someone with a radio in the spectator area, and someone hangs out with the EMS crew so they can be alerted if needed.

perfect. theres a signup form on the website, and if you go under the entrants tab, and click on the supplemental rules link, theres a full schedule in that PDF.
