    We aren't that f'd yet hunter.....just can't but anything that holds more than ten rounds. There is actually a big list of quote un-quote "illegal" guns now. Of course if you legally owned them before october, they can't do anything about you having them.....f#%king liberal asshats....

    I'm for gay rights/marriage, i'm for legalization and taxation of marijana, but please....just leave us peaceful gun people alone.....

    This is most definitely false. Let me qualify my knowledge on this. I am an FFL03 (curios and Relics), I have my Maryland designated Collectors license, have purchased plenty of firearms and stay plenty active in Maryland's legislative process relating to my Second Amendment rights.

    In the People's Republic of Maryland, firearms designated as long guns (shot guns and standard rifles) are cash and carry. You can even buy sell to others as long as you reasonably think they are allowed to own in MD.
    (scroll down to summary)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Maryland

    Handguns since Oct 1 are now more strictly controlled and continue to include a 30 day purchase limitation (can only purchase one pistol at a time unless you are a designated collector), there is a 7 day wait that was closer to 100 days at least check depending on your FFL, and now it requires a special class you have to attend in person(still not sure what that is yet as I have not tried to buy a handgun since Oct 1), your fingerprint, additional cash, and some other nonsense.
    http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=114585

    So called assualt rifles (meaning they have a couple "evil" features) are out right banned but if you already had it your fine. Interestingly enough they did not ban anything rim fired (22LR) and AR-10's (basically an AR-15 that fires 308 instead of 223/5.56) seemed to have made the cut as they were not called out for some reasons.
    http://wamu.org/news/13/10/04/gun_dealers_find_work_around_in_maryland_firearms_ban

    Lastly we are now restricted to 10 round magazines. That hurts a lot of pistol owners (think 9mm, and 40). And pretty much anyone wanting a M&P15-22 (22LR "Assault" rifles are still legal), can you imagine bumpfiring 10 rounds? Thats lame.

    They still have not plugged the hole in the legislation that allows for you to purchase mags over 10 rounds outside the state and bring them back, however you cannot sell or transfer them once in the state. Here is the wording "The bill reduces the allowable detachable magazine capacity that may be manufactured, sold, purchased, received or transferred in the state from 20 to 10 rounds of ammunition for a firearm,”
    http://articles.herald-mail.com/2013-05-26/news/39544056_1_gun-law-gun-owners-maryland-shall-issue

    So as you can see. Maryland is quite lame (I define this as passing laws that the lawmakers have agreed will do little to stop the kind of thing that happened at Newton) and thats why I am moving somewhere else (probably TN) in the next year or two. I give them a ton of tax revenue but they want to limit my rights even more than they already are? They can find another way to get their welfare vote buying money. Could things be worse though? Yes. We could be New York, DC, or other lame states like CA.

    Not trying to tick anyone off if my tones comes across that way. Just wanted to share the truth (I provided sources for everything I posted and if needed can actually post the parts of the bill if needed) so that people can understand what Maryland actually allows/does not allow.

    Enjoy and shoot safe.

    For those of you looking to buy a handgun, a few friends of mine started a company to offer the Maryland Handgun Qualification Course. It is called Vision 1 Tactical . They are will be offering courses soon in the Baltimore area. Check their facebook page for updates. I am in no way affiliated with this company.

    @thatmattguy

    Great info, very well put and i agree with your opinion as i will be moving to another state in the next few years as well....been i Maryland most of my life, and now they've finally pushed me too far. I'l probably move to PA or WV just to stay somewhat local.

    You got on 68 East bound from just below frostburg (between frostburg and midland there by the salt dome and the park&ride) to lavale....you really didn't even go into frostburg you just skirted below it and got on to 68. I came from frostburg and got on 68 at the same place. I love your under the tailgate brake light bar....and it actually functions with the turn signals :drool:
