I've almost caught up to you.. Haha truck is a year old as of July 20th, and I rolled over 37,800 today.

I waited and lurked tacomaworld for about a year before joining....and i didn't start posting heavy until about the end of last summer when i started my first semester of college....had no job and LOADS of free time if i wasn't in the woods.

Damn. That's probably about where I'll be.. I'm expecting my 150k/6 year extended warranty to only last 4-4.5 years tops. I just drive so damn much for work. I'm in my truck for at least like 4 hours every day just driving around the DC metro area. Lol
I bought a Toyota for a reason though.

I'm not worried about it.. If this thing is anything like my Camry, it's a tank and will last forever. Finally sold that thing with 218k on the clock and the only thing wrong with it was that the parking brake light stayed on even if the brake wasn't. Haha

I looked into them too, but they wanted something outrageous for shipping and even without it, it was a little more expensive than wheelers. I spoke with dan on the phone today to order it.. the AAL is on back order right now, but will hopefully be in later this week. In two weeks or so I should have them and my new shocks though!

Now I just need to learn how to install them. Hah

 

Ordered my shocks and had the same AAL Problem with it being on back order, I ended up just doing the ZUK mod instead of a AAL. Basically it's placing a coil spring between your bump stops to elevate the leaf spring. Works like a charm

 

AAL is not difficult. Just takes so bit of time.
Hit the bolts w/ PB blaster a few days before you do it. You'll thank me later.

 

Yeah, I have a 2005, and I'm in the rust belt with y'all, and my ubolts came off the easiest of all bolts/nuts actually

 

Like Homer said not to difficult there are a couple of theads on it and youtube videos you can watch to get a idea .Your gonna need some c-clamps,sawzall or air grinder with a cut off disc for center pin

Mines a 2013, so hopefully it wont be too rusty under there, but ill hit it with some beforehand just to be safe. and yea, it doesn't seem too complicated, i've just never done anything like it before. I'll figure it out.
