I genuinly believe you can do what ever you want after 16.5 years of age. You must only have the permit....

I'll be at a wedding in massachussettes the first weekend of October, but I'd be down to go somewhere the 2nd or 3rd weekends. Lol I'd probably still be stock at that point too but oh well.. May have the lift components but I'm not installing anything until I get new tires too.

Not anymore, until i turn 18 in January im limited to flying solo between 5AM and midnight, after that im free to do whatever

Cool, i was gonna join eddy and some of his guys but i didn't realize thats an almost 5 hour drive on way.. raush has a pretty good network of green trails, im sure that a stock truck could handle those

Cool. I'd even be down to just go camping somewhere. Haha maybe we could try to get some of the PA/NJ/NoVa guys to join if we go to Rausch. I.E. Someone who has actually been wheeling before because I've never been :(

Well I'll definitely be there if I'm in town, but I wanna go NOW! Lol I want instant gratification. :p

Side note, I used my new dremel today. 35k rpm and it zipped right through my hitch pin in about 3 minutes.

Actually if one was to have thoroughly read the site for big dog events there have always been 2 fees some of there events cost more than others and the cove site clearly lists camping fees

The problem was big dogs gave them the event price only and not camping prices its a shame it was mentioned early on

So, I took my new wheels over to Butler Tire on Plantation Rd. outside Frederick today and had them mounted up. Since I had stock steelies on, I had to go to NAPA to get new TPMS. They used my original tires, so I was able to salvage something and save a few bucks. I'd sure recommend those guys. They did everything and programmed the new sensors for 60 bucks. I thought that was pretty reasonable.

That is the problem, it was asked very early on if the 65 included camping, and we were told yes. now all of a sudden they say it isn't, and its pissed a lot of people off that they didn't state that up front like they should have. the sole reason i was going was to hang out with other tw members, and im not about to spend a ton of money to do that, as its actually cheaper to go to rausch then it is to go there now

I'm still going - I believe it was a misunderstanding. There was no malicious intent at all.

If you are going solo it's really not that a big deal. I can see if I was bringing along a family of 5 though...

As any wheeling trip: you gotta pay to play. If you are not comfortable with it don't go.

I understand the pay to play thing, but it was evident very early on that this park is set up for the more built rigs... at $65 i was alright with having a somewhat limited selection of trails, but i cant justify 100 bucks and only being able to wheel a handful of trails.....

I will probably go to big dogs one day, but like it was posted in the thread, DCLB trucks cant do most of the trails there....

On the other hand, raush is closer, and i might have a better equipped truck as i can take the money i was gonna throw at this event and turn it into truck parts

Pardon the pun but don't sell yourself short on wheeling a long bed.

Check out this DCLB build - this truck has gone EVERYWHERE that mine has with zero issues.

Can we start planning a Rausch event for this winter? I've been wanting to go for like a year and have never been :( I was supposed to go with a buddies Jeep club last november but it fell through and I been legit wheeling yet
