hand. I would love a cnc, but don't have the time to use it nearly enough. some day, when I don't work 12-16 hour days.

I got a Cut 50, at the recommendation of a couple of a couple of the solid axle guys I normally go to for fab advice. I was expecting them to tell me to get a $4000 miller, but they actually said this Chinese one is built like a tank. so I'm giving the cheap one a try. If it works as well as they say, fantastic. if it craps out, it's cheap enough that i won't mined.

Looking at daily drivers right now... as soon as i find one i like, the truck and off road trailer are getting major overhauls. rear suspension and bed of the truck are getting a makeover, and minus the links on the suspension and the axle, pretty much the entire trailer is being rebuilt.

Don't have to twist my arm ;)

got the cranes in position to make my big lift tomorrow. taking a 350,000 lb boiler unit, picking it up with two cranes, flipping it in mid air, detaching the smaller crane, and swinging it into place with the larger crane.

Both cranes are big, but the LR1750 is an absolute monster. I can stand on the lower tracks and have a foot above my head before the upper track.

Does anyone in the MD area have experience installing a 1" body lift? I want to give my tires a bit more clearance, but I have no idea how easy/tedious these are to install and having a spare hand would be awesome. There would of course be unlimited free beer during installation.

Sorry, meant to say body lift, where you put the 12 hockey pucks between the frame and body... my biggest fear is stretching components/wire harnesses that go from the engine area to the inside the cabin... I fear "stretching" the delta between the frame and body could cause parts to be put under stress. Maybe I am over thinking this...

how many people did it take to lift the bed off? planning to buy a daily driver for myself as a personal Christmas present, so shortly after, the bed's coming off for tube bed, LT, shit-show time.
