anyone found a matte black bug guard for an 18 that is the same $ as smoke?
Why would the matte black be so much more than a regular smoke bug guard?
I am trying to cheap out, but would plasti dipping a smoke guard hold up?
    thanks

Does the bug guard really make a difference in keeping the windshield cleaner? Looks like its right on top of the paint.

I was a bit skeptical of this thing at first....I mean it lays flat against the hood....how much protection could it offer.

After driving my truck daily during the workweek on a 45 mile roundtrip using the interstate....I've had excellent results thus far. I rarely even get a bug splattered on my windshield....heck, I can't even remember the last time. I guess the little hump on it works. Always amazing what a little hump can do to improve all sorts of things.

I like the contrast of the matte with the black paint of my truck, too.
