Ofcourse it is. You throw a decent motor on a light boat, and you get speed. Most bass boats dont weigh much. A Nitro Z8 with a 250 hp motor weighs about 1950#'s, and has a nice low 14" draft. Im sure your boat drafts about the same. Another reason why you dont feel it much behind your truck. Feel lucky. My boat dry, completely empty is 2300#'s. Trailor weighs 625#'s. Add a full tank of fuel, and a little bit of gear, and Im well over 3k, and can feel it behind the truck.

OMG not only do the two goons with their thongs in a bunch hijack this dudes thread, the mod and honda guy gotta go on about how heavy their shit is

@ op: proper hitch, tranny cooler, trailer brakes w/ a proper controller
and a lil know how and you should be fine. also as posted above, and probably the best advice here so far, hook it up and go for a ride down the highway.

*this is just my opinion and should not be taken as fact*

No. I never said that either. It probably weighs about 1500 to 1600 pounds. Without fuel. Which is what the people who built the boat, and other owners say it weighs. But you probably have some one off, that has a pewter hull, so yours is about 5000#'s. Better?

No. Do you need to be shown how to read your boat manual?

What info are you reading??? Did you look at the manufacture specs on the boat, and what other owners have weighed theirs at?? Bass boats are light weight. Theres nothing to them, except a fiberglass hull, and a motor.
