I'm starting to have a problem, does any ones away bar end link come I'm contact with the brake line it self on the driver side? My has been hit or pushed a few times and has kinda tore the cler coating on the brake line. Should I modify the bracket or just do away with the away bar? Thanks

Steel braided brake lines might help.

The bracket should be cut off but I'm not sure that would stop the issue. Take s picture of the routing of the line?

The brake line bracket mounts to the spindle but the part that sticks out should be bent or trimmed according to maxtrac so it doesn't hit the sway bar but not sure why the line would rub...

looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift
definitely settled on spindles, is this complete kit any good?

Not sure about the block in the rear, dont want to give up a lot in terms of ride quality...should I piece this thing out or grab this kit? do not want bro lean...want the front to sit just lower than the rear

just found this kit available as well (4th kit down last one on the page):

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/complete-lift-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

Also I am going to be running my stock TRD sport 17' rims...tire wise, either going with 265/70/17 - 285/75/17...

will i need spacers because of using factory wheels?
which tires would work the best?

I do not go off-road, this is purely for looking good with a nice lift and putting some nice tires underneath.

    Headstrong offroad

Also toytec is offering that kit with 4 inch spindles and a 4 inch block which would make it sit high in the rear

U will need spacers in the front to tun 285s on stock wheels

I would avoid running a 4" block in the rear. Either replace the leaf pack with some expos or get the icon 3 leaf pack to add to your existing one and a small block 1.5 or 2" block.

I bent the bracket like the instructions says. When I turn to the left at full lock the end of the sway bar meets my brake line. Not sure I I need to bend the bracket back wards towards the caliper or just remove the sway bar?

Ok and thanks to you both...a few more questions but this helps a lot...

I saw that toytec kit but as bornwild mentioned I was leary about a 4" block in the back

I think i might follow your advice matt and piece it together at headstrong

    maxtrac spindles $510
    2" aal $85
    1.5" block and u-bolt kit $84

    then either:

OME 60091 Rear Shocks (pair) $190

    or

Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks (pair) $166

comes to just about or under $1000 with tax and shipping

which of the 2 shocks is better given the price?

would I need extended brake lines for the rear as well?

Additionally, yeah I do want to run the 285/70/17, but will be doing so on the stock TRD sport 17"rim, what spacers would I need in front and/or back with 285s? will I need to trim, because if so I might prefer to go with a tire size where no trim is needed...if that is the case with the lift what tire size would allow fit but not need a trim? would I get the spacers from headstrong also?

is the kit, which for about $1250 shipped more complete...the 2 items at the bottom are not part of the kit I pieced together, but will i need them?

http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/com...-05-6-lug.html (4th kit down last one on the page)
This front and rear kit will include the following:
    - Maxtrac Spindles w/front brake lines (706840)
    - OME 2.75" Rear leaf packs (CS047R)
    - OME Nitrocharger shocks (60091)
    - OME Ubolt kit (OMEU53A)
    - OME Rear drive shaft spacer (FK29)
    - SS rear extended brake lines (23")

thanks for your help and continued advice

Brake line are only required if you go offroad or were to run those 4" block...go with the spidertraxx 1.25" spacers....I rand my sport wheels with those spacers and 285s with 3" lift and didnt rub so 4" would be fine

    Awesome thanks for the response:

just want to confirm does this sound like the right mix for me

maxtrac spindles (including brake lines) $510
    2" aal $85
    1.5" block and u-bolt kit $84

1.25" spacers in front only, not needed on back, right? would I get the spacers from headstrongoffroad also?

thanks for your help, i would be lost without it!:)
