Brake lines were the easy part.. Popping out the uca and tie rod were an ass, get a good clamp!

When doing the brake lines did everyone just use a line wrench or something else? About to go to the parts store to get those some lock tight. Line wrenches I bought weren't really line wrenches.

Well I actually crawled under the truck (well rolled my big ass under it) and used the line wrenches I just got and they came loose very easy. So 4 yr old with 35k and was too easy. Tightened them back up immediately but now at least I know they won't be frozen to anything when I start Thursday morning.. I think I am going to do the rear Wednesday when the parts get here and then finish the front Thursday and hopefully have the tires on Thursday if not Friday morning.

Hit the spindle on the flat part just below the uca and it falls out.

Take the castle nut off the tie rod and turn it over so its even with the threads and hit with hammer and then take the nut back free once loose.

The rule is the back sits 1.5" - 2.0" higher than the front.
Following this rule if you have 6.5" up front you will need 4.5" - 5" in the back to level it out. The key is to actually make sure your front is a 6.5" lift.

With the various heights I have had my truck at I've always followed this rule and it’s worked for me. Then again I've always measured the front along the way to ensure I have a clear understanding of the actual height before picking the rear set-up.

Another trick is you can always take measurements of the back now, jack the rear up and determine what’s needed to get you level. This is the safest way to do it because what’s level is often up to interpretation.

I'm thinking about a spindle lift. With the spindles adding .75 inch of width to the front and without the ability to use stock rims, wondering the following

could i event our the back and front stance by bying rims with 4.5 backspacing up front and 3.75 backspacing in rear.

During tire rotations only rotate L/R and not front to back

    Anyone doing this?
