Tinted windows - weathertech floor mats - removed front mudflaps - no seatbelt chime mod - fogs on anytime mod - Borla catback exhaust - afe throttle body spacer - K&n filter - Kmc Xd hoss wheels 17X9 4.5 backspace - rubbers are 275/65 17 yokahama geolander a/t's - Maxtrac 4" lift spindles - allpro standard leafsprings - 1.25 rear wheel spacers - arctic white headlights and fogs - kings coming soon - supercharger coming later
you need 4.5 backspaced wheels if you go aftermarket, that being said if you install the spindles and no additional lift in the front all you will need is 1.25 spacers for the rear. This is my setup, i have stock coilovers with maxtracs and 4.5 bs wheels, 1.25 spacers in back and i have equal track width. If you raise the front more after the spindles the front track width will decrease. Imho get the truck lifted where your gonna leave it at get alignment done then measure your track width and get the appropriate spacers.

just wanted to add im about to run 285's and have already taken off my front mudflaps and trimmed 1" of the bottom of the fender near the cab mount. This was for 275/65 17's to clear the fender at full lock going over rough terrain so with the 285's i should be good. Hope this helps bud :)

Guys, from my understanding 16'' wheels can run up to 4.5 BS.

    My 17x9 PC 5001 has a 4.75 BS and I am fine...

So I am sure you can run 17'' wheels @ max of 4.75

Y'all prolly can't answer this question but if I ran just the spindles up front and whatever it takes in the rear to be level with the front what size of driveshaft spacer do I need? Or do I even need one? Thanks!

there's so many variations of backspace for the Tacoma stock wheels.probably best thing to do in order to remove all uncertainty from your specific wheel would be to remove the wheel and measure the backspace, you need 4.75 or less. Ideally 4.75 or 4.5

You're right we can't answer lol. I just went through the same thing though. With your tires on the ground and the rear lifted. Unbolt your cb and your ds and push the ds back into place then measure the amount of gap of the ds to the rear end and that is what you need. And round down not up. If it shows 1 5/8" then order one and 1 1/2"

yes run a bearing drop for 2" or more rear lift, it's highly recommended. I run allpro standard leafsprings and i set 1/2" higher in the rear, looks good.

Oh he meant carrier bearing. Well in that case get long bolts at least 2" long. Then loosen the cd both sides but don't remove but one bolt. Slip two or three washers on the new bolt between the brackets. Then tighten up and repeat for opposite side. Then take for a test drive. Add more washers if vibes are still bad. Once you have all vibes out then measure your stack of washers and buy the correct cb spacer.

Ok so if I just did the hanger bearing drop would I still need the driveshaft spacer?

I don't think you want to go over an in spacer though just throwing that out there. I have 3/4 " and my vibes are very minimal compared to first start. But still ordered a 1/2" spacer for the ds
