All of your trucks look really sweet! I'm about to get the 4" spindle lift and had a few questions. Any special tools needed for this install? Do i have to mess with the wheel bearings and/or need grease to pack them? Does this kit push the wheels outward? I have 17x9 pro comp wheels with 4.75 backspacing. Seems to be the max amount of backspacing possible for these kits. I really dont want mine sticking out any further then they already are so i hope these will be ok. Thank you guys!!

I've been playing in mud, sand, snow, rocks for many of years and have tackled some pretty ridiculous terrain in a 2wd truck. So I know it can be done. It’s really about maintaining momentum, choosing the correct path within the trail and feathering the gas just right so that you’re not giving it too much. Most guys in mud just over do it on the gas once fear sets in and spin the shit out of their tires and this is when they get stuck, seen this far too many times. With the right set of tires and some ability you can go some places in 2wd so I hear what you are saying completely.

That said having owned and driven a few 4x4s, the ability in these conditions is night and day over a 2wd so I still say 2wd truck in the mud = stuck. With a 4x4 you can truly explore and adventure off to the unexpected, in a 2wd you are very much so limited by the disadvantage of having maintaining momentum.

No special tools except torque wrench. No messing with wheel bearings except swapping them over. No greasing them. Yes they push the front wheels out 3/4" on both sides. Don't know about your backspacing since I don't run that size. They are going to stick out further than they do now.

I'm really looking forward to getting my spindle lift. Does anyone here have any regrets to getting theirs? Is there any down side to it (a lot higher then you thought, handling kinda sucks, wheels stick out too far, etc)? Also does everyone put the wheel spacers on the rear or do some of you just leave it? My wheels have 4.75" BS and already stick out a little and I'm wondering how noticeable it would be to just leave it.
Every time one of you guys posts a pic i want my kit even more!! Haha. Damn, this truck modifying/spending is addicting!!

If I ran the maxtrax spindles up front with 5100 shocks what's the highest setting I could set the 5100's on and still keep my stock uper control arm?

I've got my 5100s at 1.75" plus 1.6" eibachs....the spindles don't change your geometry so setting the 5100s at the max with the spindles is no different then setting them at the max without spindles...your uppers will be just fine
