Maxtracbob! Why does my front end sound like such crap after installing maxtrac spindles?

How do you expect that to confirm lift? Its a completely different truck man.

You know even things like the bottom and top bushings can impact height right?

Crazy stuff going on in here for sure

I know they're different trucks but both stock should be close. The discussion was about the spindles being a true 4", Bob says yes & others say they got less. I was just pointing out by the math only 3.75" was gained. But like Bob said they are 4" longer than stock & other variable's can come into play like do the billies really give 1.75".
Another member was at my house with the exact same set & had 26" hub to fender also.

I think what everyone should consider it that the lift height given should always be seen as approximate number since nothing in life is perfect; everything has tolerances.

If it’s a 4" spindle as far as I'm concerned it’s a 3.75" lift spindle which can be +/- 0.25". Kind of silly manufacturers don't just indicate approximate to avoid conversations such as this.

Hope I didn't come off rude with my initial response, just wanted to ask a question to make one dig deeper.

Alright i have bilstein 5100s set at 0 in the front with OME 885 coils plus a toytec 1/4" top spacer. As well as the maxtrac spindles. According to the "internet" my OME 885s give me 2.5" of lift on my double cab, the 1/4" spacer gives me 1/2" of lift...this is true as any spacer lift gives you double the amount of lift then what it matters, for example a 3" spacer lift actually physically measures 1.5" tall but you get 3". So if i am correct i should be right at 7" of total lift in the front....my current front hub to fender measurement is 28" exactly. I am running a 3" block and 1.5 AAL in rear with the 4 leaf TSB springs so roughly 5" of lift. My rear hub to fender is 27 1/4". I have no idea what it was stock as i didnt measure it but if your saying that it was 20.5" then this would mean that ive gained 7.5" of lift therefore im gaining more from my OME springs then they say but i am for sure getting 4" from my maxtracs.

Lol just explaining that I'm actually getting more lift then advertised...my spindles measure 4" over the factory ones sitting side by side...everyone's truck is different and there are so many variables that come into play

Lol well i actually did have eibachs and bilsteins set at 1.75 and my hub to fender measurment was 27.25" so I'm guessing they gave me like 1" of lift???

If I'm looking to achieve 1" are the eibachs a good choice for that or the 883s. I need a little over an 1" in the front to level out to the back after the max install

I know this thread is long.., but has been full of valuable information.. With that said I feel it would be a great addition if you Maxtrac spindle guys could give real measurements and setups to help us guys putting all or parts together for the lift we want ie= bro lean, level, or stink bug.

Measurements should be from center of wheel hub to fender to take the variation of tire and rim size out.

    Example

    Me
Front-- LR Upper Control Arms, Bilstein 5100 set at 2.5, stock coils = Height 23.5"
Rear---- Bilstein 5100 Non Adjustable, 2" Toytec AAL = Height 25"

    A few things
Front-- 4" MaxTrac spindles, 5100 Billies @ 1.75, stock (OR) springs, 1/4" spacer on Dr side = 26"
Rear-- 1.5" Toytec aal, 2" Tapered block on 4 leaf tsb springs, ext shocks = 27"

Mine sits 1" higher in rear but looks level. I had my truck perfectly level with front before and it visually seemed low in the rear. Nothing wrong with that look, it just depends on the look you're going for.
