Thanks spruce. I figured it should be fine. It looks like such a clean crack. Like it was cut with a razor blade :notsure:

Just be careful with that brake line being attached to the spindle. You need lots of flex. What I did with mine was cleaned it real well after install. The brake fluid does something to break down the clear material on the outside of the braided brake line.

You don't have to worry about me keeping things clean. :rofl:I hope break fluid isn't getting on the outside of the line:notsure: that clear cover is just for protection I believe.

Alright I've been reading this thread now for a few days and decided I'm gonna go with these spindles. This is what I'm planning on running let me know if it looks like I am doing something wrong. All of this is new to me
    Maxtrac spindles
Bilstein 5100's adjustable's in front with stock coils, probably keeping them at 0 or 1"
My buddy has a Deaver pack he's giving me for the rear and I also purchased Bilstein 5100's
Running 17x8 aftermarket wheels with 285/70/17 bfg ko2 should roughly be about 33's
Should I be good with this setup? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Pretty much the same setup that I just had installed except I went with expos. I love the look of it and I'm sure you'll be more than happy with that setup! Just be sure that your wheels have the proper backspacing and you should be good to go

Is Headstrong off-road still the best place to pick these spindles up? And is there any discounts for Tacomaworld? Thanks in advance

Yes headstrong is the way to go. Not sure they do discounts for us considering they are already the lowest price around. @HeadStrong Off-Road can confirm. Also I would set the 5100's to .85 just to be safe. My 285's rubbed with 4.75" bs when I was at just 4" lift. You could always do more cutting but some people aren't fond of that. How much lift are the deavers?

Thanks I just ordered them from headstrong I saved almost $40 in tax having them shipped to me in Texas vs to my buddy's house in Cali where we will be doing the install in two weeks. I'm not sure how much lift the Deaver pack is but he says it will be fine if I need more in the rear I'm fine with a small block. Clean truck by the way!

Yes the outside sleeve protects the line and parts that it rubs against. The brake fluid get on the outside of the line when you change the lines out. If you don't clean it off it will break down the sleeve.

Approaching 20,000 miles on the new setup. When the temperatures cool down I will check torque on all the the bolts. Right now its 98 degrees, too damn hot to do anything! I sweat just looking at work!
